NOT PROOFREAD!!
Lauren
"Oh my god," I gasped in a whisper to myself as I was in my green room backstage of James Corden, "I don't think I can do this."
I could feel myself sweating profusely while my leg couldn't stop shaking. To say I was nervous was an understatement.
"Lauren," Roger laughed in a wholesome way as he sat next to me and patted my shoulder, "You've performed so much already, I'm shocked to see you so scared."
"I-It's not just that," I shook my head as I leaned back into the couch and straightened out my leather jacket over my white wife beater.
"Is this about Mila's birthday?" I looked over to the door to see Lucy standing there with my thermos of water. I quickly got up and flew right to her to chug down at least half of it.
Though due to my hands shaking so much some of the water flowed down my chin and my neck, but I was thankful I went with the no foundation option and just did some basic eye makeup and hair look. Roger really wanted the stylists make me look like your typical bad boy, but as a woman. Even though my lower half may fit the part.
"D-Don't," I whispered to her as I catched my breath.
Lucy rolled her eyes at me before looking over to Roger, "She's worried about missing her girlfriend's birthday tomorrow." Lucy said with an unimpressed tone as I tried my best to keep my composure as I waited by the door after being signaled that I was going to be introduced soon by James.
"Oh! Yes! That reminded me-thank you Lucia." Roger winked at her as he reached into his blazer's inner pocket, "I have a surprise for you guys."
"Lauren!" My shoulders tensed up as one of the stage crew members queued me that the cameras were coming before shutting the door. I tried shaking off the nerves and even brought my hands up to smack my cheeks lightly.
"Okay Lauren. Focus. Don't look like a fool."
"And today's musical guest I'm happy to welcome the beautiful talented, Lauren Jauregui!"
I opened the door while peeking out to meet the camera with a screen next to it to show me James, "I'm so honored to be here James!"
"Oh you won't be with what we have in store for you later," he said as he held back his laugh. I felt some fear set in as I remembered I'd been prepared to play Flinch on his show. It was either that or a full interview. I didn't feel like being invaded with questions from the guy who's known for getting stuff out of people.
"W-what do you mean James?" I asked in a shaky voice that made the audience laugh.
"Give it up for Lauren everyone!"
"James!?" I said as the camera kept rolling and I kept my act up. Once it was gone I let my shoulders fall and sighed with the biggest relief. Slowly I turned over to Lucy and Roger, "That wasn't bad, right?"
"Not at all/You were perfect kid," the said over each other as I walked back to sit on the couch.
I was thankful the taping was done early so I wouldn't actually be stuck here until late night.
I could at least call Camila at midnight.
"Laur," I looked up to see Lucy grinning at me with Roger doing the same thing.
"W-what?"
That's when Roger pulled out what he was going to before from his jacket. For a second my mind didn't process it, until I shot up from the couch and brought him in for a hug.
