Normani
"You what," I asked while sitting up in the backseat of Dinah's car as Dinah was driving us home. Since she was the more sober one of Ariana and I. Ariana tapped my shoulder and motioned for me to explain what got me all jumpy, I waved her off while trying to really pay attention to my best friend over the phone, even with the horrible headache I had at the moment. "Wait...Laur...Aw baby no you didn't know." I cooed while shutting my eyes tightly, feeling the headache only getting worse.
"Is she okay?" Dinah asked and I shrugged while trying to concentrate on Lauren's hiccuping voice. My poor little puppy of a best friend.
"Lauren...hey. Hey. How about I go with you? What? No. No, you know my mom wouldn't mind. Grandma Hamilton will understand. She will. She loves you more than she loves me. Honestly she'll love it if I got to go and take pictures of little Lolo ruling the stage."
Dinah pulled over and I looked up to see we'd reached Ariana's estate, "Mani-"
"I'll be over soon-no. No. It's okay. I'm sleeping over. We'll talk." I hung up after that because it was starting to get too much. I needed to sober up. I need to be there for her right now.
Ariana looked at me along with Dinah through the rear view mirror, "Mani. Everything okay?"
I nodded while letting Ariana take my hand, "Yeah...Lauren's just upset. Can you take me to her house, Dinah?"
"Yeah."
"Wasn't she out with Camila? Are they okay? Did something happen-"
"Lauren...she invited Camila to California during break and Camila turned her down."
"Wow," Dinah shook her head, "That I wouldn't expect."
"Me either," Ariana said while leaning back into car door, "Then again Mila's been looking forward to seeing her dad during break so I could understand."
OKAY LADIES NOW LETS GET IN FORMATION!
We all jumped and turned to see Dinah scrambling to answer her phone, "H-Hello?"
"You need to change your fucking ringtone I swear," I sighed while Ariana laughed to herself. That damn ringtone has scared me far too many times already for my liking.
"Mila?" Ariana and I listened in and sat up when we heard her name, "Hey. Camila-are you okay? What's wrong? I'm on my way home. Yeah. Oh-I-Well we're together actually so I'll just tell her. Yeah. Yeah no we'll be there soon. Just breathe." She clicked the end button and turned towards us, "Ariana we're going to Mila's."
That's when she started to drive, Ariana spoke up, "Did they get into some fight? Why are they both upset?"
I met Dinah's eyes in the rear view mirror and I could tell she was asking herself the same thing, "I don't know...but we're gonna find out. Let's get there fast and see what we can get out from them."
Everyone hummed in agreement as Dinah made her way to Lauren's house to drop me off first. My thoughts swarmed with possibilities of what could've happened tonight. I could've sworn things would've gone smoothly for them. They're Camila and Lauren. They could end up in the pits of hell, and wouldn't notice because they'd be lost in each other's eyes. God knows when that happens you might as well forget about talking to them.
"Whatever it is," I turned to see Ariana looking out the window thoughtfully, "They have to know they're meant for each other."
