A/N: before you read this chapter that I took so long to put up (which I'm so sorry about by the way I've been struggling with a lot of stuff and I feel bad because this isn't even one of the good chapters but more of a progression one, but an update is an update)
All I wanted to say was Larry Fisherman in this story...It's a character. I hope no one takes any offense or thinks I'm bad mouthing him, that isn't true. I'm a big fan of Mac Miller. Always will be. And i got so depressed when I found out he passed. Especially the way he did. I even came to tears when I saw what Ariana posted because god knows if anyone is having a mental breakdown, it's her. I hope everyday she'll be okay.
I just wanted to make this disclaimer because these people's names that I use in this story, I simply put their faces and names to the characters I make. That's the only thing based off these people, their looks and names.
Rest In Peace Mac Miller. Thank you for the beautiful music you left behind for us.
Okay...let's get this over with, shall we?

DISCLAIMER: NOT PROOFREAD

NEW YEARS EVE

Camila

"Have you guys ever seen yourselves getting married?"

Ariana and I stopped putting the groceries they had helped me get for the upcoming New Year's Eve party my family had tonight. I'd had just asked if the girls wanted to go with me, because grocery shopping with friends can make it go by way faster and way funner.

Slowly we looked over to see Dinah sitting at the small round little table in the kitchen just staring down at the little banner my mom had gotten that read "Happy 2018!"

"DJ," Ariana held while putting down the bags, "Do you want to marry Normani?" She smiled slowly at our Poly friend as she sighed.

"Well..."

"That's so fucking cute," Ariana whispered while I nodded my head slowly in agreement.

Dinah sighed as she sat back and stared up at the ceiling, "Well haven't you guys ever thought about your wedding day at least once."

"Daily," Ariana said while I raised my hand up to make a 'kinda' gesture. I looked over to look at Ariana questionably because I was surprised to hear her admit that.

"Really?" I asked her while leaning against the counter by the cabinets where we kept our dishes, "But you're always going on about how you're happy single."

"Yeah but doesn't mean I don't imagine my perfect wedding day and how much of a bad bitch Imma be when I marry my boo and they can't stop crying over the thought that this," she gestured to her body with sassy hand movements, "Is all theirs."

"Yeah that sounds more like you," I said while laughing lightly to myself.

"Did you guys ever think about how things may change and the people you expect to be there won't be?"

I furrowed my brow in concern as I watched one of my best friend's eyes practically well up while I could see Ariana get more tense from the atmosphere changing quickly. "Dinah?" I asked gently while walking over to her slowly.

Dinah closed her eyes as she was leaned back in the chair, "My dad isn't gonna be at my wedding." She whispered out after a long breath in.

My eyes softened once I realized why my friend was feeling this way. I walked over and rubbed her back slowly, "Is that what you were thinking about?"

Dinah nodded while I could see one tear fall down her cheek, "That. And that he won't be there for holidays. And how he won't see me graduate. Go to college. See my little brothers and sisters grow up....he just...he isn't going to be there anymore."
