Tick

Tick

Tick

Tick

Tick

I shook my leg under the table balding my fist up as anxiety ran through my body. It was extremely quiet the only thing that you can hear was the ticking of the clock. I yawned shaking my head.

I placed both my hands that were handcuffed together on the black table. The door open and a very familiar woman walked in. She was wearing a black and white pants suit. Her hair was laying on her shoulders.

She sat Down in front of me and moved her hair out her face. My eyes went straight to her lip which had red lipstick on them. I trailed my eyes up her face and too her green eyes.

"Hello Y/n" I swallowed the lump in my throat before taking a breath and answering "hi"

"Let's get down to business"

"Uh yeah of course"

"As you know my daughter was found dead last week... turns out she was shot in the head twice and had multiple stab wounds in her chest" I nod "uh yeah about that I am very sorry for your lost" I frown.

She nods "why am I here exactly?"

"Well, you are my daughters best friend. And you were with her the night she died right?" My eyes widen "wrong I wasn't"

She hums "well then Ms.Y/l/n where were you June 17th at 10:30 pm?" I bite my lip "I was at my girlfriend's house"

"Really" I nod my head, "Kira told me that she was with you sleeping over...she even called you in front of me and you yourself told me she was staying over"

My leg shook faster "yes I did" she raised an eyebrow "but I only said it to make you believe that she was actually coming over"

She hums "then where did she go?"

She leans back in her chair. I lick lips feeling my neck heat up. "She went to her boyfriends they were going to a party"

"Who party was this?" I shrug "I just know it was a party in the woods"

"And you didn't go?" I shook my head "I was with my girlfriend"

She stares at me for a second before leaning closer to me "before my daughter died she called you twice...did you answer the phone"

"No"

"Why, didn't you see the calls?"

"Yes"

"Then why didn't you answer it you COULD'VE STOPPED IT" I jump at her outburst "I didn't think it was important"

She hums again then chuckled "what?"

"I just caught you in a lie"

"What?"

"She called you three times you answered the third call 10 minutes after she got murdered...who called you"

I looked down "I need some water" I say "I'll be back" she stands up walking out the room.

I stared at the white wall holding in my tears.
