I sat down in the chair next to the bed. Staring at the brown skin girl. Her chest rising up and down indicating that she was breathing. Which is a relief. I grabbed onto her cold hand rubbing my thumb against her knuckles. "Please wake up" I mumbled kissing her hand.

I leaned back against the chair and grabbed the book out my bag. I looked down at it debating weather or not I should read it.

Sighing to myself I open the book going to the page I stopped at.

Why you may ask. Well a lot of things lead to me breaking. But this was one of the reasons why.

New Friends

As you know 2 years ago I moved into this small town called Southville. I had to leave everything behind. My friends, my house, everything. My parents wanted a change. So moving was one of the big ones.

Moving to a new state/city meant going to a new school. Meaning I would be the center of attention. Either everyone would like, or everyone would hate me. I was hoping for neither. I didn't want anyone to know me, I just wanted to stay to myself and get the school year over with.

The school was already in the 2nd semester. So everyone was already coming back from winter break. The first day of school was surprisingly great. I made 2 friends Named, Haley and Kristen.
_
"Hi you must be new here I'm Haley and this is my friend Kristen" I looked away from my book to see two girls. A blonde with blue eyes, and a black girl with grey eyes. Obviously contacts. "Uh hi"

"Do you mind if we sit here?" The blonde ask "uh yeah sure" they both sat down beside me. "How's your first day of school going for ya?" I shrug. "It could be better I guess" Haley nods. The bell rings and all the students started filling in.

"Since this is your first day I'll give you a warning about this class. Ms. Warner is a bitch...those two girls over there are bad news so don't get involved with them. Melissa sitting in front of us likes to spread rumors so be careful and..." she trails off looking around the room. The door opens revealing a boy. He was quite good looking, more like handsome. But he wasn't my type. "Who's that?" I asked. She smirks "that's my boyfriend Jacob...why do you like him?" She smirks. My eyes widen "what no of course not"

When I said he wasn't my type, I really meant it. I'm a lesbian you wouldn't see me staring at a boy for more than 10 seconds. But then again no one knew my sexuality but you of course. I wasn't ready for anyone to know about it. Not even my parents knew.

"It's ok if you do y/n everyone likes him especially Kristen" Haley roll her eyes as the brown skin girl eyes widen. "I do not" Haley chuckles "you sure do. No need to lie"

"Hello ladies" Jacob says with a smirk. "Hi baby" Haley answers. I gave him a small smile. He pulls out Haley chair out and signals her to get up, which she did. He sat down and pulled her his lap.

"What's your name"

"Y/n"

He smiles at me. Showing his extremely white teeth and dimples. "Jacob nice to meet you" I knew he was a jock due to him wearing a Leatherman jacket with the schools logo on it. I smiled back.

The rest of class went through. Me and Kristen kept a conversation. As the couple made out the whole period. The bell rings. I stand up grabbing my things. And walked out.

"Sorry about them they can get a little out of control. One time they got caught having sex in the biology classroom"

"Did they get suspended?" She shakes her head. "Detention...I don't know how I guess one of them convinced the principal" she shrugs.

We walked out the school. "Well I'll see you tomorrow ok" I nod. I walked around the corner. My house was only 5 minutes away. As I'm walking a car pulls up beside me. "Hey Y/n right?" I turned to see Jacob. I nod "yes"

"Great...do you need a ride?"

"Oh no I'm fine walking"

"Oh come on...it's the best I can do. You are my new friend right?" I bite my lip "get in" I walked around the car and got inside. He smiles at me and pulls off.

"So where did you move from?"

"Sydney Australia" he chuckles "you don't have an Australian accent"

"That's because I wasn't raised there. I only lived there for like 3 years" he nods "turn left"

A couple of seconds later he pulled up in front of my house. "Nice place"

"Thanks" I unbuckled my seatbelt. Jacob jumps out of the car and runs to my side opening the door. I gave him a weird look making him chuckle.

"A beautiful girl shouldn't have to open a door" I blushed as he smirks. I got out the car grabbing my bag.

"Can I get your number?"

"Don't you have a-"

"A girlfriend yeah...but I have all my friends numbers" I nod giving him my number. "Thanks I'll text you"

I walked to my porch "wait!" I turned around to him. "I'm having a party this weekend I'd like for you to come" I smiled at him and nod "I'll be there just text me your address" I walked inside the house placing my bag down.

Oh was I stupid for taking his offer. I didn't tell you about this night Lauren because I didn't think you needed to know. Or maybe because you're a celebrity who have other things to care about then me.

My New friends were going to get me in a lot of trouble. All I can say is that I should've listened to my parents-

I looked up from the notebook to hear the heart monitor going off. Y/n started to shake. "Oh my god. HELP SOMEBODY HELP" I ran out the room "HURRY UP!" The nurses ran inside pushing me out. "Is she going to be ok?!"

"Please tell me"

"Ma'am we need you to go sit down everything will be ok" tears streamed down my face as the closed the glass door. I placed my forehead on the glass wall falling to my knees.

"Please Jesus don't let nothing happen to her. I can't lose her"......
