Your p.o.v
My eyes snapped open once I heard my alarm on my phone goes off. I quickly sat up. Checking my phone it was 10:30. "Shit" I must've hit the snooze button way too many times. I stood up and quickly got dressed. I didn't have any time to do my hair so I just threw it into a ponytail.
I ran outside and got into my car. Going past the speed limit I managed to get to school at 10:45.
I could've stayed at home, but I can't afford any more absences. The school I go to makes you pay for your classes. And even though I paid for everything at the beginning of the year I still have to pay $45 for the day I am absent.
I ran into the school and to my class. Knocking on the door the students who were sitting glanced at me and then back at the teacher. I groaned knocking again. The teacher walks over to the door and opens it. "Miss. Cabello I am so sorry that I am late, I overslept-"
"I don't want to hear your excuses, Miss. Y/l/n go to the office or better yet leave" my eyes widen as she slams the door in my face. She never liked me.
I never knew why I did my work and turned it on time, I try to participate whenever I know the work, (which she don't even call on me when my hands are up) I pay attention and get good grades. I don't understand what's the problem is.
I debated whether or not to go to the office and get a pass or just leave. As much as I love learning I really hate this school. And I'm afraid if I miss another day I'll get kicked out.
I'm not rich I can afford to miss another day. I walked down the hall going to the office, to probably get yelled at by the principal.
I walked into the office. Mrs. Brooke was sitting behind the counter, she looks up "late again?" I nodded.
"Go ahead"
I walked into the back and knocked on the principal's door. "Come in"
"Principal Jauregui Hi" I slowly walked in. "Why are you in here today? Need your phone back, late for school? need to reschedule your pay date what?"
"Late for school" she didn't look to be in a good today, but when is she ever in a good mood. "Right...you're starting to get out of hand with these tardies"
"I know and I'm Sorry, it won't happen again"
"You said that last time"
"I-I" I sighed "is anything going on at home?" I shook my head "no I just be so exhausted with studying and work. I usually in the morning hit the snooze button. And today-"
"I didn't ask you to explain" I bite my lip. "Tomorrow you will get here early-"
"Ok-"
"Let me finish!...you will get here early tomorrow at 7:30, if you are late I will not hesitate to kick you out my school" I nod. "You will come to my office, and you will do everything I ask. Until school starts"
Two hours with Principal Jauregui great.
"Why exactly?" I asked "I don't think you want to pay for all absent and tardies...you already owe $210. You might as well work this off right?"
I nodded. "Great get to class see you tomorrow"
I had miss 3 days in school and have 6 tardies.
"Miss. Cabello won't let me in without a pass"
"I'll call down there now go" I walked out the office and down the hall back to the classroom. Knocking on the door Miss. Cabello came to the door and open it.
"Pass?"
"Principal Jauregui didn't give me one"
"You can't get into my class without a pass-"
"Miss. Cabello, please let Y/n Y/l/n in" Miss. Cabello glared at me "Yes Ma'am" she opens the wider giving me to walk in.........
