Katie
"Miranda? Can we talk?"
She looked up from the book she was reading, glancing at me. "Yeah?"
"I have to tell you something."
She looked at me with a concerned expression ok her fave. "Katie, if you're LGBTQ (🏳️🌈!), you can tell me."
"What- no - I- That's not what I need to tell you."
She rolled her eyes. "Then get on with it."
"Well, there's no easy way to say this but.... Travis and I are dating."
She squealed and was about to run out of the room when I grabbed her arm. "But I'm only doing it so he can get an ex back."
She stopped and glared at me, then her gaze softened. "Oh Katie, you're desperate."
I stared at her like she grew and extra head. "I'm only doing this to be nice."
She smirks. "To be nice." She rolled her eyes again, and ran off.
So much for not having an announcement. I could only hope Miranda wouldn't tell anyone.

As I walked to the campfire tonight, people kept congratulating me, even the Apollo cabin. I swear if one more person tells me they're happy for me-
"Hey congrats Katie. I'm really glad you guys guy together."
"Will you all just SHUT UP!!!!"
The camper's eyes widened and he backed off.
Strong hands grabbed my forearms. A voice leaned down and whispered "Kit Kat, let's try to kill anybody tonight."
I spun around furiously and came face to face with a smirking Travis Stoll.
He grabbed my hand and dragged me towards the campfire, while I dug in my heels.
Travis stopped and pulled me towards him, so close I could feel his breath. "You know Katie Kat, you're not doing a very good job of acting like you're in love."
I put an exaggerated smile on my face and he cringes. "You know, maybe you should just keep that glare on your face."
I smile, for real this time, and Travis grins. "I knew you could smile."
I frown again, but Travis simply tickles me. I burst out laughing, unable to stop, and his annoying smirk only grows.
"Stop- Travis- we're going to - be late"
He finally relents, and I take in a couple of deep breaths, and speed walk towards the campfire as fast as I can.
Hearing footsteps behind me, I speed up until I'm full-out running.
He grabs me a few feet from the bench I was going to sit on, and resumes tickling me. I start laughing again, unable to stop.
