Yess!!!!! School's out, thank the gods. So hopefully if my mom gets my computer fixed I will be able to update more often. I have other stories, but I'm having writer's block on those. Well, I have the idea of how it's going to end, I'm just to lazy to get there. So I"m kinda on a hiatus. But I'm going to keep working on this while I can, so no worries.
Oh, I need a new cover, If any of you know any good pictures or anything. Thank you!!
Travis
I watch as she steps toward his funeral pyre, lighting his shroud.
The tears are evident on her face, she doesn't try to hide them.
She has a hollow look in her eyes, as if she's seen to much pain in her life.
I want to grab her, comfort her, tell her it's going to be alright, but I hold back.
I'm not good enough for her.
That's why I held back, during the past few weeks.
She deserved Lee.
I'm just the double, the extra, the no-good prankster.
The second name to the same face.
Myra, or whatever her name is, looks at me.
I've lost track.
They're all distractions.
Distractions from the truth, from the pain.
"I thought you didn't like Lee?"
"Everyone deserves a proper funeral."
"Humph." she says, pouting.
How ironic.
The son of the liar, the prankster, the messenger, can't lie.
Or at least in this case.

I grabbed Nico's arm as he was leaving.
"Uh, Nico.. Could you do me a favor?"
He looked at me, and his chocolate brown eyes reminded me of someone.
It was me when I looked in the mirror.
The sadness, the sorrow they contained. The knowledge that you could never understand what they went through.
"What is it?" he said softly.
"Could I-Do you-Is there a way I can say good-bye to Lee?"
He tilted his head.
"We can try. Meet me at Zeus' fist at eleven o'clock."
I nodded firmly, and walked back to my cabin.

I watched as she snuck out of her cabin.
Ok, call me a stalker but I couldn't believe that she would get over Lee so fast.
Something was going on here.
I followed her to Zeus' fist, and watched as she met up with Nico.
Nico? He didn't really strike me as her type.
Nico began digging a hole.
Now I was really confused.
Were they going to -you know...
No! I shook my head to get it out of the gutter.
What is wrong with me?
Nico emptied a happy meal and some soda into the hole. He began chanting, and I assumed they were performing some kind of ritual.
I nearly screamed when a spirit flew though me, on it's way towards the food.
Nico used his sword to hold off all the ghosts except one.
Then I realized who it was.
Katie was summoning the ghost of Lee Fletcher.

"Lee" I whispered, hardly believing my eyes.
Six hours ago he had lied in my lap releasing his final breath.
It took all I had not to hug him.
He smiled wearily at me. "Hey Katie."
"Lee, I came-came to-" the words were stuck in my throat.
"It's ok. I know what you mean."
Nico had melted into the shadows to give us some privacy.
"I love you Lee."
"I love you too Katie, but you need to move on."
"Wait what?" I was shocked.
"I'm dead. I am going to try for rebirth if I get into Elysium, but face it Katie. I'm never coming back."
Tears sprung to my eyes.
"Look, Katie. I just- I don't want you to hold on to me."
"Lee I swear on the River S-"
"No! Katie stop. Trust me. You need to move on. I see the way Travis looks at you, you guys are meant for each other. This was fate. It's ok."

Travis
I was shocked by Lee's words.
Katie's tears spilled down her eyes and she ran off.
Lee looked straight at me and said "Go get her."
I ran out of the forest and found Katie on the roof of the Demeter Cabin. I walked towards her, she was sobbing curled in a ball.
"Go away!! Leave me alone!" She shouted at me.
I kept walking.
"Please..... Just leave Travis. Just leave." she sobbed.
I was about to keep walking, but then a vine wrapped around my ankle.
"You heard her." Miranda said, standing tall like a tree.
"Go. Away."
"I'm sorry Katie." I muttered, then ran back to the Hermes cabin.
As I left, Miranda picked up Katie and brought her back into the Demeter Cabin, gently speaking to her, soothing her like a baby.
