So remember how I said I wouldn't get writers block? Heh heh....

Karma's a bitch.

But, my writing ability is slowly decreasing. I have an idea of what comes next, but my creative juices are being drained.  So sorry if my writing talents drop.

When I wake up my hair is stuck to my face and I am wearing the clothes from last night.

Last night....

I didn't mean to yell at Travis. It's just when Lee told me to move on, it really set in that he was dead.

I touch my face, feeling wet tears slide down my cheeks.

Instead of crying, I take a deep breath.

I'm tired of crying. I've always been emotional, it's time to stop.

I take a shower, rinsing my face clean and making me feel better.  Now the puffiness has gone down, and I look like a normal person again.

I wrinkle my nose as I pick up the outfit Miranda chose for me.

It's not something I would usually wear, but I've decided to stop hiding away, haven't I?

I got dressed and look in the mirror.

The dress is a little more revealing  than I would like, but I had to admit that Miranda has chosen a cute outfit. I felt like a was wearing nothing below, which I suppose I was, so I slid on a pair of stretchy white shorts underneath, not visible unless you peeked. I put my hair up in a half messy bun-half down style, and applied some basic eye makeup, just enough to make my eyes pop.

The rest of my cabin was already eating breakfast, so now I was faced with two options.

1) Head out to breakfast and cause a scene

2) Head to the stables on time like everyone else in my group and only cause a scene with them

I really wanted to stick to my new principles but....

It would have to wait. (A/N I would do the same thing...)

Travis

asdfghjkl (A/N so the asdfghjl was me being bored, and so I just typed letters, the home row and this popped up, giving my the idea)

Katie was drop-dead gorgeous

She smiled shyly at us as we walked into the stables. She had been missing at breakfast so I assumed she was going to be "sick" all day, which was reasonable of course. A lot of kids weren't there at breakfast.

But she showed up

Looking amazing

She caught my eyes and smiled again, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. I couldn't tell if that was her saying I like you, or if she was doing that to everyone because of how she treated me last night.

Girls are complicated.

But just to make sure, I gave every guy the back-off-she's-mine look.

Apparently, Katie was still looking at us and glared at me.

Oops.

But I missed that glare.

She walked over to me, and I hoped I didn't have food on my chin.

"Travis.... You're standing in the way of my pegasus."

I blushed and started heading towards the pegasus I was riding when she, just loud enough for me to hear it, softly said "And furthermore, I don't belong to anyone, let alone you."

Silena Beauregard began the lesson, explaining the manuvers we were going to do today, which involved spying on Kronos, as we were the third-best pegasi class.

I watched as Lacy, an ex of mine and friend of Katie's, shyly approached Katie and started talking to her.

Katie looked shocked at first, but slowly began to relax. They laughed, and it made me smile since I hadn't heard Katie laugh in a loooooong time.

"Alright. Everyone, get on your horses and let's get started!"

A cheer went up as we assembled in a V formation, with Selena in the lead.

I smiled, feeling the rush as we flew through the air.

I turned and smiled at Lacy, who was riding right behind me.

She had come up to me before we disembarked, apologizing for how she was acting. She said that when she saw me react after Lee's death she knew that I had loved him, and that I was right about Travis. I told her it was ok, and now we are friends again. I smiled at her, and we flew off.

But inside? I was still hurt. Saying sorry doesn't change anything. She honestly thought that I would betray her for Travis. My friends will always come before a boy. Always.

But I was sticking to my new principle. From past experiences, telling everyone how you really feel doesn't change anything. Faking it is better than revealing the truth. Because the truth is worse then the lies.

"I see the Andromeda!" Silena shouted.

We were only here to gather information. As we were heading back, I heard a whooshing sound and my pegasus turned just in time to avoid a rock fly by me.

I leaned down to pat my pegasus. "Thanks Sage"

"They're attacking! Run!!" Someone shouted. There was no hesitation. We pushed our pegasi into full speed, soaring across the sky. They kept firing at us, and we managed to dodge them.

"Good job Sage," I muttered to my pegasus.  I could tell she was getting tired, I would have to get her some treats when we got back.

"WATCH OUT KATIE!!" I heard a familiar voice yell.

Then everything went black.

"Sage....."
