I took a deep breath. Everything was fine. Everything was fine.

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that. That's gonna change your hair back to normal." whispered the nasty little voice in my head. I tried to look in the mirror again and I screamed.

Crap.

Miranda burst in through the door "Katie! What's wrong?"

And then she looked at me and went "Ooooh."

Our head counselor, Andrew, walked in, stopped and stared. "Those freaking Stolls. At it again."

"Andrew!" I wailed. "How am I going to get my hair back to normal! I can't go around camp with purple hair!"

"Uhhh, well the thing is..."

"You don't know how to change it back, do you?" I deadpanned.

"If the Stolls did it, then they probably have a cure. So you can ask them for it now, or you can beat the shit out of them during Capture the Flag as revenge."

I smiled cruelly. "Let's teach them what happens when you insult the children of Demeter."

Normally I was a very nice person. But when Luke, the head counselor of Cabin 11 came in and told us that the Stolls had said we were weak and asked us to get back at them during Capture the Flag, we were already mad. But dying my hair purple? That was crossing the line. During the game, I was gonna let that little, nasty voice reign free

As I was walking to archery practice, I ran into a girl with similarly colored purple hair. She was wearing a black tank top saying "Do I look like I care?" and black shorts. I would have guessed she was from the Hades cabin if I hadn't felt the magic radiating off her.

"Oh, you're the one they used the hair dye on. Sorry. But honestly, it goes with your eyes. "

Which was a total lie. She was the one with purple eyes, not me.

I laughed. "Thanks. You are a daughter of Hectate, right?"

"Yeah. I'm Lou Ellen. How do you know? You just got here yesterday, right?"

I nodded and then said "Even when I was a girl, my father would tell me and my sister stories about our mom. He didn't think he had to hide the truth. But this year a monster attacked right in out house. He decided that enough was enough, and sent us to live here. But because he told me when I was young, I learned all about the Greek Gods and how to use my powers.'

Lou Ellen raised her eyebrows "That must make you pretty powerful then."

"Yeah, but I'm only good on land. Put me in the water and I'm a goner."

"But you've been trained to fight, correct?"

"Yeah. You know, you sure are making it hard to be humble."

She laughed. "I have been told my specialty is making things difficult, so that's nothing new. Come on, let's go to archery. Hurry or we're gonna be late!"

As I headed into the archery arena, I noticed one of the Stoll brothers was there. I decided to play it cool, even though I was furious.

Lou Ellen nudged me. "You see that guy with the blond hair and freckles? That's Lee Fletcher, son of Apollo, and our instructor. He's pretty cute, right?"

Lee introduced himself, and then we each introduced ourselves. The Stoll brother was Travis. He was the one who was staring at me last night. He watched me as I introduced myself, and when the attention was on Lou Ellen, I shot him a glare. He smirked, in a very cute way, I might add.

Wait. No. That's ridiculous. He's nothing even close to cute. His hair is ugly, and he does not have dreamy blue eyes....

"Are you falling for the enemy?" The nasty voice said.

I was jerked back to reality as Lee started the lesson. I was so-so at archery, but better than almost anyone. Travis was surprisingly good. Lee came over to correct me on my stance, and obviously the only and most cliche way to do that is to place his hands on my waist and stand behind me. I blushed while he looked down at me with a smile. As I turned my head, I saw Travis scowling. Good. Why do I care anyways? He's the one who's a jerk to me. I don't care about how he feels, or how his hair feels beneath my fingers...

"For the love of Zeus girl, snap out of it! You need to get yourself together. You've got this dreamy guy standing right behind you with his hands on your waist and all you can think about is how cute "Travis Stoll" is." My nastily little voice brought me back on track.

"Are you ok?" Lee asked, his eyebrows creasing in the middle.

"Oh, yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for asking."

He smiles. "Good. Why don't you let that arrow go?"

I blush like crazy when I realize I've been holding onto the arrow while thinking. I let it go, and it hits right in the bullseye.

"Great job Katie!" Lee says. "You're gonna be on our side during Capture the Flag, right?" As I nod, Lee replies "Thank the gods. I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of that bow."

I smile and mutter a quiet "Thanks."

"See! He hasn't even pranked you yet! Much better than Troy or whatever."

"Kit Kat!" I hear someone yell. I continue walking. My stepmother used to call me that before my father found out how she abused me.

"Katie!" That same voice goes again. I stop and turn around. There, right in front of me is Travis Stoll with a smirk on his face. Oh gods, I think. This is it.

"Hey, I just wanted to say - to say" He stutters out and then quickly says "Umm, good job at the archery range."

I raise one eyebrow. I had a suspicion that was not what he had intended to say. He squirms under my gaze.

"Uh, thanks," I reply "But please don't call me Kit Kat"

"Whatever you say Katie Kat," he says with a smirk before walking off. I sigh and turn around but I bump into Miranda.

"Were you just flirting with the enemy?"

"No! I was just talking to him to be nice."

"Fine. But be ready to kick his ass on the battlefield."

I nod at her and give her a two finger salute with a straight face. "Yes Ma'am."

I then add "I think sometimes we get confused who is the older sister here."

She smiles and pulls me into a hug. "I couldn't live without you."

I squeeze back and say "Me too."

Hey guys! The next chapter will be about Capture the Flag! I know that I have Katie as a more aggressive character in here, but I felt that she needed to stick up for herself more after reading other fanfic. Oh! That reminds me. To all you guys who have written Tratie Fanfic before, thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys have inspired me, and I'm sure my story wouldn't even be close to good without you guys. Also, I haven't read the books in a while, so If you find mythological mistakes just let me know.

And give me half and hour to cry in my bedroom. Kidding! I was named after Persephone, so failing Mythology 101 would be embarrassing considering I love Greek myths.
