So I was reading a story on Wattpad, when I noticed a Daddy long legs crawling up my thumb. Totally freaked out. Still trying to calm down as I write this.
Set during The Lost Hero, a couple days after Leo, Piper, and Jason leave.
Katie
It all went wrong after I found the letter.
I was going through my memory items, like the beautiful bow Lee made me, and Sage's saddle, when I found my old journal, the one I used to keep records of plants. I was rereading it when I came to the last page, with the moonflower details filled out, when a letter fell out of the pages.
There was a familiar beautiful flourishing script on there, saying my name. I assumed the letter was old, I put had put my journal away after the Titan War.
I opened the letter, and sudden I understood why the handwriting seemed so familiar.
It was a letter from Silena.
Dear Katie,
As I am sure you know by now, I was the dreaded spy. I worked for Kronos. I would like to apologize to you, but know that Sage's death was not my fault. I only became the spy after you were hurt. It made me realize that my friends could get hurt, and on some occasions there would be nothing I could do about it. I thought Luke would protect you guys, but now I know I was wrong. Please give the other letter to Lacy, is for her. Just know that I never meant to hurt any of you. I'll tell Lee you said hello.Sincerely,
Silena BeauregardI stood there in shock for a few moments, taking in what I just read. Oh gods.
I immediately took out the other letter, grabbed a new envelope, and wrote Lacy on it.
I decided to wait until I saw Lacy again to give it to her, to make sure Drew wouldn't take it. She gave Aphrodite kids a bad name.
Of course, that would mean skipping dagger training with Travis....
Thank the gods.

After handing Lacy her envelope, I felt a lot better. More relieved. Like I had just lifted a weight off my shoulders. Both Lacy and I were close friends with Silena, and we were shocked when she died but never said anything to us.
A hand grabbed my shoulder and I jumped. "Why'd you miss our lessons?" A familiar whiny voice complained.
I turned and faced Travis Stoll. "You'd don't determine my life Travis. I had something important to do."
His eyes lit up "Got any juicy gossip?"
I rolled my eyes and walked off.
He followed me and said something that brought me to a halt.
"Actually, there was something really important I wanted to ask you about."
I turned around cautiously. "What do you mean?"
"Well, there's no easy way to say this but- Woodjubeemiegurlfieend?"
"Travis, slow down. Try again."
He spoke haltingly. "Would-you-be-my-girlfriend?"
I stared at him in shock, my mouth hanging open in an o.
"I mean, a fake one. To make Michelle jealous. Not a real one of course. I don't like you that way anymore." Travis said as he broke eye contact with me and rubbed the back of his neck.
Michelle was girl from the Nike cabin. She loved to win, just like her siblings. Very competitive.
She had long golden hair, with yellow eyes and tan skin. Trying to make a Nike kid jealous almost always worked, it was like their fatal flaw.
Michelle was an old ex of Travis's, from before the Titan War. They had dated for a week about a month ago, then broke it off again.
I was going to say no, but then I made the mistake of looking at Travis.
I mean, he did save my life.
I owed him one.
I sighed and said "Fine."
He looked like a kid on Christmas. "Oh thank you Katie!!!! You won't regret this, I promise!!"
"First things first. How much do I have to act? Like kiss you?"
He blushed and looked at the ground. "Well, yeah. But nothing bigger than that really. And I'll slowly start to tell my brother and my friends, and that way we don't have to make a big announcement or anything."
"Can I tell Miranda?"
"Only Miranda. And she has to swear not to tell anyone else."
I nodded firmly, and began to walk off.
"Oh and Katie.... thanks," whispered Travis so softly that I thought I had imagined it.
This is just the beginning.
Dun dun duuuuuuh!!!
