I awoke snuggled in a pair of strong arms around my waist. I was surprisingly comfortable, considering I was sleeping on the floor of a cave- wait what?
I slowly sat up, blinking the black dots from my eyes.
And then I rushed outside to empty my stomach in a pair of bushes. "There's natural fertilizer for ya."
I walked back into the cave to see that Annabeth, Reyna, Thalia, Jason, Rachel, and Will were already up.
Rachel smirked, holding up a photo. "Black mail" she sang, grinning.
I groaned. My hangover wasn't helping either. I wasn't the only one though.
Will and Jason seemed to be in pain, but I suspected the others were just better at hiding it.
"What happened?" I asked Rachel.
"Ummm, well we got a wee bit drunk. I don't remember much else. If we wait for everyone else, maybe they'll have more."
And so began the following hour of vomiting noises. I would be lying if I said that no one from the original group had to puke again.
When we were all sitting in a circle again, Rachel began. She invoked a prayer to the fates to show us what happened last night.
Luckily, no one died and they answered. A screen appeared, like an iris message, and began the events last night.
I won't go into detail, but someone dared Percy to rob a liquor store and bring back some beer.
Then we all got drunk. It took a while for some, like Reyna and Thalia, but eventually everyone fell under the alcohols influence.
Our dares got dumber and more dangerous. Me jumping off a cliff hoping the trees would catch me was the last straw. The gods formed a protective barrier, (on their own I might add) and we were stuck in the cave.
We did some dares on the inside. Miranda drunkly pledged to Artemis, clearly getting all the words wrong. Thalia paled visibly when she saw how she had kissed Reyna as a dare. Artemis appeared, and was about to yell at Thalia but noticed how drunk she was.
"I'll come back later." She said, and all of the color drained from Thalia's face.
And then she fixed her almost dangerous glare at the son of Hermes. "I'M GONNA KILL YOU CONNOR STOLL!!!" She roared, and started chasing him around the cave.
It was only then I noticed that I was leaning against Travis's chest, feeling as he laughed.
It was comfortable, I'll admit.
But this is all a show, I reminded myself.
But I laughed along with everyone else, enjoying the moment.
I turned to look at Travis, enjoying the look of pure joy on his face.
"Oh good. You're awake. Report to the Big House immediately. Especially you, Peter Johnson." We all turned the color of white sheets.
"Come along then!" Mr. D said impatiently. "Last on there gets dish cleaning duty."
We all jumped up and raced to the big house for our fate.
