Travis
"Ahem"
I heard a cough behind me. I quickly stood up, sure my face was the color of a fire truck, and brushed off the dirt. I turned around and saw both Lou Ellen, with a smirk on her face, and Lee Fletcher. Lee seemed to be the one who had coughed. "Somebody is jealous..." I sang in my head. Lee could jump off a cliff for all I cared. Katie obviously liked me better. He tried to catch her first, but I, being a son of Hermes, managed to get there before him, and he pretended like he was going after Lou Ellen in the first place.
Katie stood up and brushed off her dress, her face colored slightly like a tomato. She blushed and said, "I should get to the strawberry fields so.........."
We all nodded and went our separate ways.

Months later
I was totally zoning out at the Big House Meeting. All I could do was look at Katie and thinking about how beautiful her chestnut brown, wavy, hair was as it cascaded down her back like a waterfall. Her gorgeous forest green eyes sparkled as she explained her plan to everybody. I have learned many, many, many times not to mess with her when she gets that look on her face.
"Travis? Travis!" Connor said, shaking my shoulder.
"Wha? Huh?" Connor just sighed and said
"The meeting is over."
"Oh!" I quickly stood up and walked out, with Connor saying what happened. I was still spacing out, but this time I added a "Yeah," or "Sure," every once in a while. Connor seemed to think that he had gotten his point across and ran into the Hermes cabin, most likely about to debrief our siblings.
I decided to head over to the strawberry field, where Katie was. You see, each cabin has a "holiday" dedicated to them. For the Dionysus cabin, there's a party with grape juice. For the Demeter cabin, everybody plants one flower outside of their cabin, and the Demeter kids walk around and enchant it to grow. Of course, everybody but the Demeter's cabin's flower dies because no one waters them. But afterward, we have a plant themed party. The Flower Bash, as it was called, was tonight. I was planning to ask Katie. As I walked to her my mouth was dry and I was nervously sweating.
"Uh, hey K-katie?"
"Yes, Travis?" She had this quizzical look on her face that was adorable.
"How do you feel about going to the Demeter party with me?"
"Oh Travis, I'm so sorry but...."
My face fell.
"Lee had already asked me. And I said yes."
She said something else along the lines of "If I had known you were gonna ask I would have waited..." But I had already turned around and walked towards my cabin. I felt depressed and furious at the same time. How dare Lee freaking Fletcher ask Katie! And how could she say yes!"
Thwack!
I had run into a tree. I muttered an apology and sat down on a rock. I really liked Katie, but I was so blinded by rage that I decided I wanted to make her jealous. I decided to ask Belle, a girl from the Aphrodite cabin to go with me. (A/N Can you guess why I named her Belle?) I walked back to the camp with my classic smirk on face. Katie was going to regret refusing me.

"No?!?"
"I'm sorry Travis, but I know you are only using me to get revenge on Katie." She crossed her arms. "I don't want to be a tool, and Katie is my friend."
