"Please believe me (xx)

The crowds can't help me"

-Summer Lucia's music piece page 8

As usual the sushi restaurant is packed up anyway. I really wish that this sushi restaurant weren't so famous at all so no one actually mind waiting to get a table. But the dishes are tasty, so tasty I really want to say in public, hey this is tasty!

Luckily, grandpa booked us a table in the balcony. This restaurant is famous because its tastes and hey, it's not that expensive to eat here.

"I'm glad grandpa had initiative to book a table for us," Ren says as we sit down. "Seriously, I love this place. No offense, Yuka, but I hate waiting because this place is not great with their service."

Ren calls me Yuka whenever he tries to act big brother and stuff. In the real life, I'm Summer or sometimes Summy. Well, usually grandpa and nana call me Summy.

"Hey, the servers are nice. Don't hate this place just because you always want something that is instant and fast like fast food."

"Correction, salad," he says. "Remember, I maintain my health better than yours."

"Just because you like vegetables doesn't mean you're healthier than me," I argue back even though he's actually right. I'm not near healthy.

"Whatever, Summer. So gramps, have you seen the proposal I sent to you last Monday?" Ren asks grandpa.

"About Katherine's in the film I scripted," he says.

Grandpa wrinkles his face. "Katherine Ann has been out from the industry too long."

"Yeah, but she actually fits the role better than Dean Jeanne. Summer, check this girl out, okay?" he tells me as he flashes me the picture of blond haired girl with bright and angelic smile. She looks pure and innocent. "What do you think?" he asks me. "Does she fit the small town girl role?"

"I think she's pretty. Yeah, maybe she fits well," I reply.

"Everyone thinks that I should give the role to Dean Jeanne."

"She can fit the role, maybe. I mean she's a great actress."

Ren rolls his eyes at me. "She's just an it girl, nothing more."

"Willian Ren Johnson, don't bring your emotion when you're working with actors or actresses. Remember, they're maybe stressed out to fit the role so they sometimes get moody," grandpa tells him.

"Yeah, I guess I'll reconsider it. There is another role," Ren says. "I think Dean Jeanne will fit the role perfectly. But everyone is hoping that she'll be the leading female. So I guess I'll give it to Katherine Ann. She's a talented actress even though she's hardly in the industry."

"It's up to you, but I hope you really think about it carefully," grandpa reminds him.

"Boys," nana scolds them. "Don't talk about work in dinner."

Ren smiles at her. "Okay, nana. After all, we're here to celebrate Yuka's recovery."

Nana smiles at all of us and holds her glass up. "To Summy's health. And for everyone's health and future."

"For all of us," gramps adds in.

"Our family," Ren chimes in as he motions me to continue our wish for every year.

"As time flies, may God bless our dear Hara. Let her be blessed," I end it.

Nana smiles as she sees me ending the wish without a crack. But I can't smile back at her. Somehow my heart still can't believe it. It's not easy just to move on and end the pain within.

I secretly glance at gramps and Ren. Both of them felt lost as Hara left us. Eventually, Ren had moved on. Gramps has secretly missed her. But he keeps working hard and focusing on us.

Nana was worst before. But she had redeemed it for me as I don't show any signs of progress. I just keep going backward. And it scares everybody.

No. It scares me. I'm afraid about my condition. But I can't really do nothing for it.

"Gramps, I just want to tell you something because I'm pretty sure Summer won't tell you on her own," Ren suddenly says.

"About what?" Gramps asks as he looks at me questioningly.

"You said you're going to hire an intern, right?" Ren asks. "There are three sections we're opening right now. Clothing expert, PA obviously, and photography. What do you think?"

"Photography for Summy?" gramps asks.

"Bravo," Ren answers. "She had won many competitions before, there shouldn't be a problem for her to get in easily. She can work there, at least until her fall audition. What do you think?"

"That's a good idea!" nana chimes in. "Both of you can take care of her and perhaps you can ask Moon or someone to look after her."

"That's such a good idea. But I cannot be for Summy as much. Why don't I give you a job in desk or office? An easy job as replier perhaps?"

"It sounds good," I say. "But I love photography more."

"Of course you do," Ren says. "Photography will allow you meet your favorite actor. Hugh Jackman."

"Well, he's cool," I argue back.

"Cool when he does the action."

"Er hem! Can we just please enjoy dinner without talking about work, please?" nana suddenly speaks up. "Let's talk about something else, like when will we do picnic or something, shall we?"

"Okay," the three of us answers at the same time.
