Doctor Hugh is amazed how I've been showing progress. Not to mention, I also share that I finally can play my music again. But the thing that makes him so pleased is the fact that I threw away the pills. I'm free from them now.
He also mentions that I smile brighter again.
I'm very thankful to meet a doctor like him. To show my thanks, I offer him my help.
That's why I come here alone. It scares me how I keep showing progress. I can finally call Hara mom. And I learn a little by little to drive a car again. I used to drive around by myself, but that's when Oliver hadn't died.
But now, I've been practicing with Moon and gramps and I guess I can drive alone if the distant is not far. Luckily, the hospital is not too far, so everyone lets me go by myself.
Doctor Hugh has another patient named Haru. She's very beautiful and innocent. She's depressed because her dad and mom aren't there for her, then they just passed away. It's hard to miss someone who's not close to you, but then again, if they are your parents, you can't help to miss them.
She's so cute. She doesn't remind me of me, though. Because I'm not an angel like her. I'm more to heathen. Believe me, I'm that bad. I mean I was.
A lot of thing going through my mind while helping Haru to realize that she should love herself because I see him again. Jake Adams. It's not like the old time when I was so nervous to see him. I'm calmer now.
Jake doesn't see me. It's not that I'm nervous, but I don't think it's the right time. The first time we met, the moment I remember, is in hospital. There must be something going on, and it's not really my business.
"Summer?" Doctor Hugh calls my name.
"Yeah?"
"Haru really needs a cool therapy," he says.
Cool therapy is when the depressed patient needs an assist to go somewhere out from hospital. I used to have cool therapy too with Uncle Moon and Ren or gramps or nana. Sometimes Aunt Christa.
Haru doesn't have anyone so she must be very lonely. "I can take Haru!"
Doctor Hugh shakes his head. "You just recovered. And you just learnt to drive again by your own."
"I won't be far."
"Fine," he says. "Bring her back four hours later."
"Yay!" I jump around and hug Haru. She's like a doll.
I take Haru's arm and leads her to the parking lot when my eyes meet Jake. He's with Sail. So he must be with Katherine. Yeah, the shooting had already been wrapped. They're home now. It's been two weeks anyway.
But that's just all. Instead of feeling sad, I smile at him. To Sail too. Then I just go. They're not my business now. It's Haru's time!
Haru laughs the entire time and it makes me so glad that I decided to take her for cool therapy. "Where do you want to go now?" I ask her.
"I want to eat. Can we eat pancakes now?"
Pancakes. I smile. "I know a place where pancakes are the best."
Haru looks at Berry Dice. Yeah, the design of the place is a bit weird and too much. Many pink and purple lights. But she won't complain when she tastes a bite. It's heaven.
"This is Berry Dice. It sells a lot of pancakes. I promise you. It's worth everything."
"Okay."
