It was early. Perhaps a little too early to be planning while dealing with such a dire threat such as that damnable thief. Vanin, of all people, would no doubt had been the first to hunt him down and kill him on the spot with no regrets. After all, he had promised that for five thousand years.

In the mean time, now was not the time to dwell on such bothersome thoughts. Save those for later. But it is best not to hold off of something for too long. ''What? And you didn't stop him?!'' While you were away with your parents to visit family members for the holidays, despite Atem's insistence of coming along with you to meet the rest of your family, you couldn't let that happen. Not with that white haired guy running a muck. He pretty much had the family two story home to himself during the 2 week absence.

''Y/N was with me. I couldn't let her get hurt.'' Vanin pinches the bridge of his nose in frustration. ''This wasn't how I had imagined the courting process would go...'' ''...I know.'' The other male suddenly perks up, tilting his head to the side, smiling. ''Why mope? You can wait out this final week. Then-'' a tanned hand tightly claps over his mouth.

''Another word, and I will punch you.''

A muffled 'yes sire' breathed through his fingers before he let go. ''And...I'm assuming you didn't tell her parents that the courting process was just the start before mating season correct?'' The full moon...of all the choices of lunar cycles he just had to choose that one?

''Her father? No. Her mother however...'' violet eyes stared at the wood floor in thought. ''--She reminds you of yours. Doesn't she?'' spiked hair looked up in shock. Truthfully, he had never really considered that since being awakened. ''Surprisingly, yes.'' Vanin chuckles softly at that. ''You did follow her teachings more than your father. I still remember you crying your eyes out to me when she died.'' lavender eyes dimmed at the memory. ''...I had never seen you in such a state of grief like that.''

''It's best not to bring up anymore. My mind isn't running well at the moment.'' ''You're distracted by the girl. That makes sense.'' his eyes narrowed in a teasing manner. ''...You nearly changed when around her, haven't you? That blood within you isn't going to wait for another thousand years.'' Tan cheeks burned red. ''Keep your thoughts to yourself!'' Vanin laughs, holding out his hands in defense.

''Alright, alright. Seesh, so touchy.''

''I'm warning you.''

''And I believe you.''
