''Are you sure he mentioned him?'' Atem's voice was tight with rage and shock. Vanin nods with certain solemn and worry. ''My ears don't lie. If he said that, then Zorc has most likely returned.'' Zorc...That's a name that brings up bitter memories. Time was that he had terrorized Northern and Southern Egypt back then. Atem along with his loyal servants, had defeated him but at a price. His soul and powers were sealed within a amulet.
...That same amulet that allowed him to crossover into this realm.
''You intend on fighting both of them are you?'' Lavender eyes widen in shock and weary apprehension. ''M-My lord, this is madness! You can't!'' Violet eyes bled crimson. ''You can't foolishly charge into battle again---think of Y/N! Do you really want to die again?'' Those eyes shifted back into violet once more. He was right. He did re awaken his soul for that reason. For you.
''Then what do you propose we do? There's no way I'll let either of them get to her.''
Both were dead silent on the subject. This couldn't be ignored. Not when you or the world is at stake. ''...I'm getting a feeling we've done this before.'' a dry laugh escapes. ''You think?'' the tension was cut in the silent kitchen with laughter. ''Regardless, about the situation; he doesn't know about your powers. Not yet.'' ''And he won't. Not unless he wants to know the feeling of death coming for him.'' ''Atem...Calm yourself.''
The lights flickered for overhead for a second.
''--I'll get my head chopped off for this but, why not use Y/N as bait?'' amber slits returned along with the turning of human flesh into red armor. ''H-Hear me out! Since that amulet was used to seal him, it may be used to extinguish his existence completely. Without a power source, Zorc along with Bakura are gone for good. Think of it! We, the both of us can finally be free of them and you can be with Y/N as intended.''
''...'' His slit like eyes narrowed for a moment before closing them. Slowly the aura and armor began to recede back into his being. ''You are my friend, but if anything happens to her, I will not hesitate to end you.''
''You have my eternal word, my king. No harm will befall her.''
This was dangerous. What if something cause the amulet to not work? No, there can't be any mistakes. There won't be.
Vanin had sent a shadow crow to locate and inform the thief. As much as he loathed using his favorite spell as a messenger, it had to done. ''It won't be long. Once he comes, no doubt he'll bring Zorc along with him. If I know my 'father' he's anything, if not predictable.'' you, however, was silent throughout the whole thing. This scared you badly. Bait. A lure. You were more than likely to die. A hand places itself down onto your shoulder, tightening on it in response to your emotional distress. You relaxed a little, you knew Atem and Vanin won't let anything bad happen to you.
You just hoped this would all be over soon.
''You're finally here. And you bought me a gift. How touching.'' Brown eyes narrowed lightly at the amulet that was around your neck. ''You have no idea what you're have in your possession. Do you girl?'' The tri haired man stands in front of you glaring. ''Your fight's with us Bakura. Leave her out of this.'' the white haired male just laughs. ''Still protecting the one you could not save pharaoh? I wonder if you still have nightmares of finding her body cold and limp on that night.'' his eyes remained unchanged from their expression.
''My only regret was not killing you before returning home.'' A sword appears in his hand, eyes shifting into red. ''Good thing for second chances.''
''Vanin, keep her safe.'' the other nods. ''I will. Just kill the bastard and end this. He is nothing without a vassal.''
The battle was nothing short of incredible. It was almost like being in a movie. Not close to somewhat close to it. Something was shifting above his head, a claw strikes him down, slamming Atem into the concrete. ''Shadow magic father? You've grown complacent over the eons haven't you?!'' the albino ignores the taunt, blade in hand, striding almost walking at a casual pace toward the fallen body.
It vanished in a black mist.
''I must admit thief, you improved.'' his eyes suddenly widen as he felt a presence behind him. A scream tore itself from his throat as a sword embeds itself through his spinal cord exiting his stomach. ''You...!'' blood flowed from clenched teeth as he seethed in rage. How could he had let his guard down like that?!
The amulet began to glow a unnatural dark blue color. Crackling lighting and sparks flickered from it, making you throw it off. ''M-Master...!'' All three of your eyes widen.
He's here.
A thick, giant mass of shadow turning form appears in front of you all, slowly shifting and growing in size. Curved horns protrude from the head as two beady red glowing eyes emerge. ''Pathetic Akefia. Utterly pathetic...'' the deep rumbling voice gave way to rows of endless teeth. ''I should've chose a different vassal back then it would seem.'' Black and deep violet tendrils shot up, further stabbing into the bloody thief king's body even more. The pitiful sound of the man screaming weakly as blood pools out from the appointed areas were inflicted with numerous stab wounds.
Shadow leeches. Disgusting little bastards who feed off the soul and body of those who were ensnared by the dark. ''Your existence was merely to entertain me, and you couldn't even accomplish that. A shame. You made a decent thief in your lifetime I suppose.''
Vanin, of course, was silent throughout the whole thing. Seeing his father like this was nothing short of karma. He had warned him what happens to those who took his offer. Now look at him. ''...You only bought this on yourself.'' The amulet flickered once more, casting the same dark blue light around the area. ''That damn rock--arrgh!'' There! It was affecting him more than realized.
''Damn...Damn you all!'' A bright light shot up from the amulet surging towards the giant demonic dragon impaling him now. The giant beast stumbles backwards clawed hands clutching the glowing spear, yelling as the light began to seep and erase him completely. ''Now Atem! He's weak!'' A glowing mass of thunder accumulates into his hand, growing larger with each passing second.
''Your wretched existence comes to a end!'' Casting the said glowing thunder into the sky, it quickly turns black, a large silhouette of a long dragon comes forth, encasing the male in bright red flesh like armor and wings. ''Slifer! Feeding time!'' The near crazed smile never left his face as the former divine beast began to literally devour the struggling and heavily wounded monster.
The noises of chomping bones and muscles made you queasy.
Shifting back into its master's aura, the red hue vanishes. He falls onto a knee panting hard. It's been too long since transforming into that state. ''Where's...?''
All there was left were tattered and bloody strips of dark red cloth. ''Vanin?'' forest green eyes look toward you in question. ''A-Are you alright?'' he couldn't help but smile widely. ''Never better.''
