It was a good idea to let Atem go ahead of you for school this morning. Walking with him would've been a bad idea considering what'll happen in two days. Two days. The conversation still made you a little, no really uneasy. This was going to be a very large step in your life. It was a huge relief that your parents agreed to the courting, otherwise, it would've never had worked in the first place. You needed some time to yourself after all.

In two days time, you will no longer be considering pure anymore. Innocence gone. Completely.

What has your teenage life come to?

And while you had absolutely no regrets about it all, about any of this, despite the fact you're the reincarnation of another whom he couldn't save was something to at least dwell upon despite his insistence not to. It was clearly obvious he cared a lot about you. A lot. Why else would all of this happen in the first place if he didn't?

Shaking your head and brushing a piece of hair from your eyes, grabbing your backpack and rushing out the door bounding down the walkway towards the streets below. It was almost like living in a castle. Except your 'prince' is a shadow dealing supernatural human. Only on rare occasions had you ever seen his real form in battle or sparring against Vanin. You figured that's just his way of impressing you; to show that he's serious about not losing you just as he had lost his previous love at the hands of death.

''It's kind of cool that he can just summon lightning at will. Not to mention that giant red dragon serpent...'' Slifer. That name sounded ominous yet interesting to you. After witnessing the battle between it and Zorc, you were positive he was his pet. Ally to be correct. Not a pet.

You were suddenly jerked from your thoughts when you saw a group of girls. Oh lovely. His little club. You had no idea as to why they even bothered in trying to gain his affections. It was pointless. He only had eyes for you and you alone. Those with common sense had woke up to that while some preferred to think that with enough persistence, he would come around. Not going to happen.

Poor guy. But this poor guy was yours.

''Is there a problem?'' All heads turned toward your voice. ''You're...?'' ''Stay away from him. I won't repeat myself.'' This got a reaction. ''Excuse us?'' a tired sigh left you. You weren't in the mood for this. Action spoke louder than words it would seem. Spotting the familiar formation of hair, you walk over to him before linking a arm around his. ''Mine.'' A horrified gasp littered the air. ''Oh shut up. This was why I never liked or joined fan clubs.'' a chuckle leaves the tall male as you two left for your classes.
