Hoseok generally didn't ask personal questions about people because he loved to find out things on his own. Sometimes he liked it when he was right about a person, and sometimes he liked it when he's wrong.

But then there are times when he really just didn't think about something. Y'know, the little things, like someone's laugh (ex. Jin).

Since Hoseok saw Yoongi on a bi-daily basis, he was pretty certain about some things. Like him being a grumpy asshole before he has his coffee, that he is a trust fund kid, he as a (very cute) tiny lisp, that he has the weirdest, most annoying cousin, and that he rarely smiles. And that his smile is pretty cute, but that's beside the point.

Hoseok was pretty set on knowing Yoongi.

However, Hoseok apparently didn't think about everything. He knows that, of course. Hobi can't know everything about everyone, but some things just show up out of the blue.

Take for example, the next time he saw Yoongi. Hoseok was expecting a normal day of small talk and such, but no, Yoongi basically threw his entire day off.

Hoseok had been calmly sitting in a chair, sipping his coffee and stalking one of his students on instragram. (Park Minhyuk's friends are the weirdest, cutest bunch he's ever seen.) As the door opened, he spotted a small-looking person walk in. He shrugged it off, thinking that Yoongi was just running late like he sometimes does.

Hoseok couldn't help but do a double take, though.

Hobi swore time slowed down as he saw pink, glittering lights float around the person as he coolly walked toward the small line.

And that person was Yoongi. With glasses.

Hoseok hadn't recognized him when he first walked in because he looked so different he he wasn't used to him wearing glasses. That raised the question of 'are they new or not?' to Hoseok and he didn't really know the answer.

Hoseok just kept on asking himself that question for a few minutes until a deep voice interrupted his thought.

"Yo, Hobi, are you trying to catch flies there?"

Hoseok hadn't realized his jaw was hanging open, so he slowly closed it like nothing happened. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Yoongi sighed and sat across from Hoseok, frowning before speaking up. "It's the glasses, isn't it?"

Hoseok sighed and nodded in shame. "There's nothing wrong with them, it's just surprising, I guess."

Yoongi rolled his eyes. "I just forgot to refill my contacts, so I'm using my glasses. I haven't worn them in ages, but they're kinda nice. I can just throw them on and not worry about my eyes getting infected or anything."

Hoseok blinked a few times. "Woah, really? I've never had glasses. Do contacts really do that to you? Why do people wear them then?"

"Dunno, but you're getting louder with every question there, bud."

"Sorry. And since when am I 'bud'?"

Yoongi shrugged. "Since now? Wait, I've called you bud before, so since the last time I called you bud."

"You confuse me, Yoongi."

"I know."

After that, it settled into a slightly tense silence. Hoseok could feel some sort of tension, but he didn't know what. Was it the fact he was ignoring how good Yoongi looked in those glasses? And how much more Hoseok was questioning his entire existence? Possibly. Hoseok being Hoseok, he couldn't help but fidget at the awkwardness between him and Yoongi.
