Hoseok was looking forward to his day off. It was the first day in a while that he hasn't had any classes, so he was going to do all he could, while he could.
First on his mental list was coffee. Hoseok could see the wonderful place that is Starbucks in the distance. He just had to turn the corner and--
Oh.
It's closed.
Hoseok quickly read the small sign that said 'Currently Under Construction.' There was no date of its reopening or why it was under construction, which confused Hoseok. He was bummed, though. He was so looking forward to Starbucks, and now, he couldn't enjoy it. He wasn't sure why he was so bummed, as it was just coffee, but he was still very much bummed. Hoseok turned around to start heading home, but then he heard his name being called out.
"Oh, Hoseok! C'mere!"
Hoseok turned back around, trying to find where the voice came from. It was Sooyoung, he could tell... and she's sitting on a bench at the small park next to the Starbucks. "Oh, uh, hey Sooyoung. What's up--" Hoseok had started to walk toward Sooyoung, but he stopped dead in tracks, and he had no words, really, because holy guacamole was Yoongi dead on a park bench? "Uhm... is he okay? He's not dead, right?"
Sooyoung glanced at Yoongi, holding back a laugh. "No, he's not dead. He just hasn't had his coffee yet so he's practically shut down. But, now that you're here, my plan can finally commence." She smiled at Hoseok with an especially evil look. "But first, have a seat."
"Should I ask what that plan is..? And how am I involved?" Hoseok was low-key worried about his safety right about now. "And, uh, where? There's no room on the bench."
"Don't worry, Hoseok. I was just gunna make it up to you two about the Starbucks situation. And just move Yoongi's legs or something. He won't mind."
Hoseok was going to say something, but instead went to go carefully move Yoongi's legs, sit down, and then put Yoongi's legs on top of his legs. God, this was awkward. Hoseok carefully rested his hands on Yoongi's very small shins, which happened to be covered in a pair of jeans. "Wow, does Yoongi even eat?"
"Uh, I know he eats once a day."
"Once a day? Oh my God, that's it, I'm going to feed him myself if he can't take care of his own body."
"Oh wow, you actually noticed he was terribly skinny. And he probably won't let you into his house, by the way. I've tried."
Hoseok was just confused at this point. "Why doesn't he eat? He's probably hungry all the time, too..." Hoseok barely noticed that he was fiddling with the hem of Yoongi's pants. Hoseok tends to do that with practically anything within reach if he's worried or nervous.
"Don't ask me, Hoseok. Even though I've known him for about three years now, there's still a lot he won't tell me. I've figured a lot on my own, though."
Hoseok sighed. "And I've only known him for about a month."
"Yeah, but trust me, he usually turns down people or just avoids people if they keep on showing up. I don't know how you have managed to become a friend of his."
Hoseok stared Sooyoung. It was weird feeling, really, to know that Yoongi actually saw him as a friend. "Wow, I actually don't know what to say."
Sooyoung gave a small laugh. "Don't think about it too much. He'll tell you stuff eventually."
There was an oddly comfortable silence between the two for a few minutes. Hoseok was still fiddling with the fabric, causally thinking that Yoongi's pants were probably really comfortable, and Sooyoung was on her phone, texting someone about something very excitedly.
