Yoongi zipped up his black hoodie and flipped the hood over his head while trying desperately not to trip over Holly. He meandered his way over to the window, peeling back the curtains to give the sky his very best frowny-face. He really, really hoped it wouldn't rain, but the gray sky seemed to have other ideas. Yoongi was debating not even going, but... he knew he would regret it severely if he didn't.
Due to his increasing paranoia, Yoongi grabbed his umbrella from the depths of closet and set out to meet up with Hoseok at Starbucks. His grip on the umbrella was concerning even to him, but he didn't dare let go. Not until he got to where he needed to be. If it started raining... well... he hoped it just wouldn't. That was it.
Suddenly he found himself at the doors to Starbucks. The passage of time, or lack thereof, seemed to be on his side today. Opening the door and stepping inside, he looked around for Hoseok, scanning for the bright orange hair...
...that happened to be right beside him. Somehow, Yoongi didn't scream. He just held his breath and stared at Hoseok who was sitting at the bar table next to the door. Yoongi didn't know what to do, so he just stood there awkwardly in the door, practically paralyzed for... well, Yoongi didn't know why.
Then Yoongi was getting pulled towards Hoseok, by Hoseok, so Yoongi wasn't being a human roadblock. Yoongi glanced at the hand that was currently gripping his arm. "Uhm. Thanks, Hobi."
Hoseok smiled at Yoongi the moment he spoke. "Sure. So... You good to get going to McDonald's?"
Yoongi nodded, still staring at Hoseok's hand. "You gonna let go...?"
Instantly letting go, Hoseok chuckled akwardly. "Sorry. Uhm. So... let's go?"
Opening the door, Yoongi let Hoseok walk out first before following him out the door. So far, nothing totally bad had happened. Then again, they had taken only ten steps since exiting Starbucks.
"Want me to carry your umbrella, Yoongi?" Hoseok asked, pointing the umbrella that Yoongi so desperately did not want to let go of.
"Sure," Yoongi shrugged, handing over the umbrella with only a bit of hesitance. Inside, Yoongi was yelling at himself. Why did you let Hoseok take your lifeline, Yoongi? Was it because your hand was cramping? Or was it because you--
Hoseok took the umbrella, looking it over once before giggling. "Is this a Kumamon umbrella? I don't know if I'm surprised or not. Either way... it's cute. Suits you."
Yoongi forgot the only umbrella he had was his Kumamon one. "Oh. Thanks... I guess?" He scratched the back of his neck, embarrassed. Why he was embarrassed, he didn't know.
It didn't take long for Yoongi's only wish for the day to fall apart. A droplet of rain landed on his nose, scaring him slightly. It made him stop walking, and the feeling of dread was creeping upon him. Or maybe it was just sadness. Because, honestly, Yoongi didn't want to have to bail out, he didn't want to have to be sad when they're just going to Mcdonald's, and he definitely didn't want to show Hoseok this side of him, even though he's pretty sure he's seen it before.
Yoongi then heard the sharp ching of his umbrella opening and the fwoop as it fanned out. He looked over to Hoseok, who was now holding the umbrella above them with a smile. The increasing amount of raindrops no longer fell on him, but instead the umbrella. It... it made Yoongi feel safer. Only marginally, but safer nonetheless. Maybe there was less of a chance of being swept up by the rain.
And, well, Hoseok was there, too. He wasn't alone this time.
"You okay, Yoongi?"
Yoongi snapped out his thoughts, blinking a few times. "Huh? Oh, I mean. I guess so. Uhm." His hand itched. It twitched, even. He forgot about that, that twitching. Yoongi needed... he needed... "I need something to hold. Uh. Maybe--"
