Putting the final touches on my face, I couldn't stop myself from getting nervous. This was no ordinary day. Most students would deliriously scream soon. I was no make up addict, but just for once why not try it?

I looked at my window to reveal the sun shining. But as I looked down, I heard a horn being blown. The lovebirds caught my attention who were standing on my lawn.

I tucked my hair behind my ears, then went down the stairs and exited the door quickly. I quickly saw Vanessa's wide smile to me as I went out of the house to close the door. But somebody just pulled it from the inside and a masculine face emerged.

I waited for him until we stood in front of them.

"Tell me true, guys. Do I look good or do I look like a clown performing before a horde of kids?"

"My answer would be the second," Alex said. His laugh was as quick as a second. "Please don't kill me."

Lucky for you, you have an angelic face.

In my mind's eye, I visualized a group of fresh-grads singing the High School Musical graduation song after tossing the hats.

School was finally over and I went home with medals. But the thing that was really memorable to me was a running athlete's special award.

"Let's have the 'guess-what-your-plan-after-graduating' is," Vanessa said as we were already celebrating at home. "So after graduating, you're going to achieve your goal. Your goal is to have a big-time career and after earning so much money, you're going to spend it carelessly by going to as much places across this world as you could. But first, you'll never miss to visit that country. What's that again?"

"Greece! But you bet your ass I will," I let out a grin that I was having a difficult time with hiding it.

"How about if you guess mine?"

"I'm not actually good at reading people's future. But I'm thinking maybe you'd be a fashion designer or something similar to that," I told her honestly and smiled.

"Or a model. Maybe she thought of that because of your clothes. You're an unbeatable fashionista, Vanessa. Maybe you could give me clothes," Luke said, half-serious.

"I don't have the materials to make you one."

"Treat yourselves, guys. It's cheat day," I gestured my head to the kitchen table of heaven.

"Ooh, sounds like a great idea,"

"Congrats, Clarissa. Big daddy's proud of you," Chris took a quick look at the medals hanging in my neck right after my friends left. He hugged me, not the casual hug, but a special one. This, I wouldn't forget.

"Well, if it weren't for the awards, wouldn't you congratulate me?" I joked, grinning to emphasize it.

Dad chuckled. "I think you know the answer to that."

I followed my friends to the kitchen table. I sat on the vacant chair beside Alex. Now the two friends which are secretly loving each other was sitting across from me.

I had so much munches and went on even though I was aware that Father looked like a homeless person watching me. I stopped when I couldn't take it anymore.

"Chicken?" I asked with my mouth full.

He first breathed deeply before speaking. It was noticeable here he was thinking deeply whether to say it or not.

"Clarissa, there's something I gotta tell you," he finally said.

"What is it?" I asked him quietly, my eyebrows rising and my mouth curling. I'm getting enthusiastic about this.
