I threw him very hard on the tank where I hid, the only spot that was completely hidden. And there came the sound of the impact, that must be really painful. "Let me remove those shades for you," I was surprised by the words that came out of my mouth.

As I touched the man's shades, he quickly lunged at my hands. "Let me go!" I yelped. The man again smiled at me. I rolled my eyes and with every strength removed his tight grip on my hand. I threw his shades far from us.

"Why the fuck are you following me?" I shouted due to too much anger. "Tell me, you freak!" I demanded, kneeling down to face him directly. The man did not speak. I felt a little bit hopeless, the man who followed me was simply useless.

Why is that man not even speaking? Was he a mute or something? Or maybe he was like Abel, not speaking at first.

I grabbed a small rope from my pocket then tied it around the man's wrist. "Please, tell me," I begged like a weak girl. I tried to be very calm.

The man raised both his eyebrows, and it looked like he liked my calmness. "Tell you what?" He finally asked, sniggering.

"Tha-" I was interrupted by a sudden voice.

"What the . . ." I heard a man's voice from a distance. He was beside the gate when I stood to take a look.

"You stay here or I swear I'll kill you," I said fiercely. "I'm not scared at you, you douchebag."

I went towards the gate and saw Lucas standing there with his face perplexed. "Clarissa?" His eyes widened as she looked at me.

"Lucas, why are you here?" I asked with my eyebrows meeting. New features. I noticed it. He was a new vampire now.

"I went here to visit some friend but then I heard your voice shouting."

"So you know my voice well," I laughed. There were laughs similar to me! I did not want to show him what I did to the man, but there was no choice left but to do it. And besides, I needed help. "Alright, I am going to show you something. Try your best not to freak out. This is what my kind does to bad people."

"Okay," he nodded.

I immediately came back to where the man was, but he ran away and escaped already. "Shit!" I cursed. You damn fool, hadn't you think that you just gave that man a chance to escape?!

"What happened?" Lucas asked as he went there beside me to check it out. But how could the man escape so easily in a place walled with fences? I hadn't heard any sound of the fences moving, anyway.

I sighed with disappointment and regret as I looked back at Lucas. I picked up my heels then wore it. "Where's the man you kidnapped?" He asked, looking at me.

"He just ran away," I said in a gloomy tone.

"Okay, I trust you and I'm going to ask about this later so let's go chase him!" He said excitedly as the both of us ran and left the place. We went up the slope then to the city where people came back in a flash.

I had to find and deepen my sight. We both stopped to glance around. "What now?" He asked me, and his voice had a bit of hopelessness. In front of us were thousands of walking people, and it might be impossible for us to find the man already.

"Let's go there," I pointed to our right where there was a curve and lesser people. We walked and turned our heads from side to side. "So what happened back there, anyway?" He asked with impatience. We were walking casually as he spoke. We didn't have to run. It would look more obvious.

"I went to the park and I planned to be followed again," I told him.

"Why on earth would you want to be followed?" He curiously asked.

"So that I can have the chance to catch the same person or maybe, someone else who's doing the same thing."

"I don't even get why they want to follow you and Abel that day," he admitted.

"Me too, Luke. But, I had to believe Abel. And so I did this."

"Do you think the man that you kidnapped could be one of them?" He asked.

"Yes! Who else?! He was the same man. He wore the same black sunglasses. But that sunglasses served a purpose for his eyes. He's the same four-eyed man."

"How did you know?"

"Same features."

I pointed a finger then spoke before Lucas could even respond. "There he is!" I said, and found the man trembling with fear as a sign of his trauma as he walked through the crowd. "Help me follow him, quick!"

"We're gonna find the exact place and time where there's no people, right?" He asked.

"Precisely."

The both of us fell silent as we followed the man secretly to a place where there were no much people. It was almost evening that time. The sky had begun to be dark blue, the sun faded and the surroundings darkened. Basically, everything went dark.

The man led us to a narrow place, as narrow as the place a while back. An alley. Lucas and I kept on hiding behind walls in case the man tilted his head to take a look. But, the man didn't even look behind him, not even once.

"We're gonna hide him into a narrower place," Lucas whispered.

"Let's go." We chased him. And of course, I was quicker to catch him. There were some by-standers there, mostly, gangsters. Based from their tattoos and looks. But we found the exact time to do the scene, where the people there were doing a rumble. It was like fate was on my side.

Lucas did nothing but punched him on the face. It was so hard that the man passed out. "Help me carry him," I told him. He carried his feet, then I carried his hands and upper body. There was a space where two houses met exactly.
