For the hundredth time, sarcastically speaking, Abel had went with me at going home. No matter how many times I told him not to, because I already know the way, (I had a good memory) he wouldn't listen. He pretended as if he did not. What are people supposed to do with stubborn people? Punch them?
I told everything to Dad, without missing any detail. It was a late afternoon, when someone knocked on the door. When I opened it, there was Tate, standing straight.
"Why are you here?" I asked because he was supposed to be with his kin. He was to sleep with them, too.
"I'm just here to visit," he replied. "And to check what's happening." He entered the house, smiling without even me giving him the permission to!
He went to the living room, sat on the couch lazily throwing his ass, and put up his legs.
"So what did you spend your day with?" I asked, crossing my arms. He was always like this, acting like a weary, weary person. Unless he worked.
He lifted his head for a better look at me. "What or whom?"
"Quit that or I'll kick your ass, Tate," I rolled my eyes.
"Why are you so rude today?" He asked. He was serious, and that voice didn't have a joke.
I grinned at him. "Why are you such a serious guy?" I asked and sat on the same couch he was lying on. I said that to avoid anything and everything.
"Oh," he blinked his eyes.
"Oh?" I repeated, then laughed.
"Anyway, what's happening? Seriously," he asked to most probably me.
"Well, I'm too lazy to. I'm already done explaining what happened today to dad," I clasped my hands behind my head to rest.
"Hey, Chris, can you please explain it to me?" Alex raised his voice.
"No," he replied. I glanced at Father and he gave me a wink. I raised both my eyebrows and grinned.
"Okay so basically, Detina, her mother, was almost killed by some ruthless vampire. And finally, Selene had known that she possesses the greatest power of all time."
Tate looked at me with excitement. "Seriously, bloodsucker?" He asked. "You have it, the one they call the Greatest One?"
"Ain't it obvious?"
Tate shrugged as he rested his head back on the arm of the couch. "My ego's still big. I'll keep an eye on you, Selene."
