I went back to the human's world the following day. All by myself and without telling anyone. Including Abel and Tate. I decided to go there at the same time—same afternoon and time when we got followed.
As I walked towards the lake, I fixed my hair, clearing anything that could possibly block my entire face. I walked very, very slowly—but not necessarily as slow as a turtle—so that anyone and everyone could see me. I wasn't doing anything to attract their attention, however.
The lake was near and was just before me. I stood and watched as the ducks swim together in one group to pass the time. I also tried to watch the people there. There were a few of them who still wore the special masks.
But an unmasked man to my right came feeding some ducks suddenly. Straight to my right. He was by my side in just a few inches away. The man merely inspired me just by his simple concern for the ducks. "This is what I actually do every time I go here," he suddenly spoke.
I looked around to see a near person he could possibly talk to. But it was just the both of us, apparently.
"Yes, I'm talking to you," he smiled but not looked at me.
"Okay," I wasn't sure what to respond, it was simply awkward.
"Your first time to talk to someone you do not know?"
I was slightly uninterested to talk, because I was more focused on finding anything suspicious around. I never even looked at him the whole time we talked.
"Yes," I replied softly.
"How often do you go here?" The man seemed friendly to me.
"Seldom," I was too lazy to complete the sentence.
As I talked, the man took his black shades off and stared at me. I could guess the man was maybe five years older. But the man was ugly, to tell frankly. I am not judgmental at people. Never. I do not laugh at people's looks or how they look. The man smiled at me differently, as if he was tempted to do something not really good, and I could clearly sense it. His teeth were dirty, and was even incomplete at the right side. Just two teeth missing went missing. Excuse me sir, but are you brushing your teeth? I almost said that.
The man looked like a normal person. Something told me that he was not what I was looking for, because the last five seconds I thought he was the spy.
"What's your name?" He asked as he leaned closer towards me. I did not tell my name, and it was right not to. The man moved his hand. His hand was as quick as a pickpocket's. He squeezed my hips. I didn't catch him.
I stopped his hand, then gave the man a sullen stare. "What the hell are you doing?" I raised my voice, the other hand of mine was clenched. The man did not reply but was still grinning differently. Now, suspiciously. I chose the wrong decision to stay, so I ran away from the pervert. For a moment, it made me thought that he was out of his own self and that he might be using drugs.
I walked pass the lake, faster than usual. I noticed I was wearing a different pair of shoes today. I regretted for wearing something with a bit of high heels.
I turned my head to take a look, and I caught a sudden movement. I caught the man's silhouette as he quickly hid. I knew that the man wasn't a spy at all.
What about your plan today?
Do you seriously prefer staying with that perv than running for your life?
No.
Then shut up!Time was always changing, and coincidental. And completely mysterious you do not know what's to come. Although I knew the man wasn't a spy, and was in fact, a perv, I still had to make sure. And so I slowed down and walked casually. I was aware I was putting myself in danger. But certainty is more important. Myself was right, I should be more focused on my work.
The smell of the man was around, following me. I now passed the park, looked to my left and right, finding an easy path where I could easily be seen and found. I proceeded to my right, without even stopping, and the place there was narrow. I sniffed, and the awful smell of the awful man was just behind.
The amount of people increased as I walked towards the town. A little more to go and I would find the perfect place for me to catch him, or trap. Trap sounded a music to my ears. I went down a small slope where there were houses and walls full of graffiti.
People faded in the place. The man was farther as I took another sniff. I looked behind me then saw as the man smiled wickedly to me.
The man was definitely chasing me, and I knew that danger was on the horizon. As I stared at him, I smiled back wickedly at him to make it look like I was going to lead him into somewhere private. Having a beautiful face is not always fun living with.
To my left was a small space walled with fences and there were giant water tanks. That was the perfect place, I could feel it. I removed my noisy high heels from my feet then carried it as I jogged towards the place. The man almost lost me, that was a little bit relieving and less regret. I hid behind a water tank, my legs folded. I was actually in a tuck position again.
I heard some footfalls walking near me.
I had to think, I had to have wits this time. I peeked from behind the water tank, seeing as the man looked around and scratched his head at the same time. The water tank I was hiding from was facing the man, and the gate where I went was just beside it. He continued walking to my direction, slowly. I waited for the man to pass the place. When he was now near it, I quietly stood and carefully walked, trying my best not to make as much as footfalls on the ground. My high heels was still secured in my hands. I was near him, my teeth clenched. My face aggressive. I figured that the heels were too heavy to carry, so I dropped it carefully on the ground. These heels were such a disturb.
The measurement of my distance from him was three feet away as I continued to walk. The man was, of course, still walking straight. I walked faster, then ran. Thankfully, there weren't any people standing there that could witness the incident. And it was a surprise. I put my hand around the man's neck, and it felt like a hostage to me. The man kept on squirming and squirming to get rid of me. Then, he moved his elbows to possibly hurt my belly, and temporarily let himself escape. This was similar to the thing I made to the lost hitchhiker.
Again, I was too quick to avoid it. Now, he switched his movements to his feet, tried kicking. I tried to be strong and tough as I pulled him inside the space backwards. There was a part of me too that was feeling that the man could resist me and escape in seconds. Pessimists problems. The man didn't quit squirming but this time he added it with curses.
I put my other hand to cover his mouth. I punched his stomach using my elbow to somehow weaken him. The man coughed so hard when I did. I just hoped no one saw that. I would be screwed if a single one did. Oh my, what did I do? I'm such a demon now . . .
