I opened my eyes, then got up immediately from the bed. I recognized the room, of course, it was mine! But it just got different because of the strange darkness. All curtains were completely closed. And because I wasn't used to it, I opened and took a peek through the window. The weather wasn't good at all, no sun showing up. Ominous dark clouds covered half the sky.
As I walked around the room to make the whole thing bright, I saw in my vision my own reflection in the mirror. Surprised by what I was wearing. A big, loose shirt and my pajamas. I wondered where my dress was. My mind was full of confusion and thoughts and questions. I remembered what happened the last time I was awake—I passed out in Vanessa's house.
I had to call him, and so I opened the door. And he was there, standing directly in front of me, who also should've opened the door at the same time. "What happened to me?" That was like the very first question I had ever since I remembered falling on the floor.
"What happened to you that time is the effect of infecting a human. You were donating your blood to her, because your blood has a venom. While doing the process, a little amount of her blood got inside you in the mixing-of-blood thing. And for that, you passed out. Sleeping in more than one day is normal."
"You didn't even warn me!"
"Oh, yeah. I forgot. But, anyways, sorry," he looked at me from up to down. "How're you feeling?" He finally asked.
"I'm fine now. No more strange feelings," I promised him. But I couldn't help to stare at my clothes and give him a confused look. "Who changed these?" I asked instead of asking if he changed me. I was not going to judge.
He cleared his throat, his lips started to grin, but covered it quickly. "Me."
I raised both eyebrows, and looked awkward. "This was the second time you dressed me but. . . H-how did you do it?" I stuttered.
"I was looking away when I removed your dress. For the second time."
He glanced at my lips. His eyebrows wrinkled as he leaned closer to me. His pupils were focused on my lips, then he grabbed my arm. "You're dehydrated." He whispered as he dropped her arm then looked at her.
For a moment I actually thought he was going to kiss me. Quit it, Selene. "I don't feel the feeling," I shook my head.
"No, I mean, umm... You need to drink blood again."
"Why? Didn't we just hunt three days ago?"
"Of course, we did. But, you've infected a human. And once you infect one, you let go of too much blood," he explained briefly.
"Oh. Is that so?"
I could smell some mysterious smell. And so I tried to sniff my whole body, then snorted. "Horrible," I told myself then grabbed a towel inside one of the drawers.
