ABEL

I ran to the forest, my shadow shrinking from my house, to look just in case Tate was there. I kept on tilting my head from side to side, my body writhing. But something big and gigantic was surrounding me. I could hear some bizarre wolfish growls. It was haunting my ears, and I wanted for it to end, but I couldn't see it.

A brown large dog had loomed out from somewhere. I sheered and saw him walking around me in a circle. His sharp teeth were clenched as he quietly growled. I stood casually. I was not up for a fight. Not because I was scared, but because I was weary of it. I didn't want him to get hurt. He was the best friend of my girlfriend, and that made him my best friend.

I stood defenseless. And I knew Tate could see the message I was conveying, but he didn't care at all.

"Tate," I called. "We should talk about this. I'm not gonna fight you."

His teeth were showing and bare, giving me a threat no matter what I said, he slowly padded forward. Tate began to run, I closed his eyes. Let me feel the pain. Let me endure it. I felt nothing when I ought to feel something.

I opened his eyes to try to see it. I discovered that a blue-haired woman was in front of us, facing the opposite side. It was only Selene who was in my mind. "Get away!"

Tate whimpered and disappeared.

"What did you do?" I asked as I walked towards her.

"I stopped him," she answered, her eyebrows wrinkled as she walked.

"Why did you?" I whispered, looking at her in confusion.

She stopped from walking, and then looked directly at my eyes. "No, why did you do that?" She asked. "That was suicide, Abel."

"No, it wasn't. It's not what you think, Selene. I was going to talk to him, but he attacked and this happened."

"Talk about what happened to the both of you?" She said. "He's trying to kill you, Abel. And you don't even know how mad can he easily be," she explained.

"I know," I held her face and kissed her forehead. "Let's get back inside."
