Two Years Later

Two years have gone by since I last talked to Khodie. To catch you guys up on somethings. I'm now twenty years old I will be twenty-one soon. I have my own art studio now. I'm pursuing my art career which I love. Oh and I'm married to my amazing husband. Channing. Yes Channing is my husband and you want to know the best part. We are expecting our first child. I'm five months pregnant and we are excited.

I was washing clay of my hands at my sink. When the bell on the door rang. I turned around it was my bestie Reyna. I dried my hands on a towel. She ran up and hugged me. "Hey baby mama how's my god baby".  "We are good". She rubbed my belly, "So I came to ask you if you will be coming to my birthday party tonight". "Uh yeah I will be there you know it. Can my husband come?". "You always know Channing is welcomed". "Cool your excited to be twenty-two?". "Yes of course. Ryan planned the whole thing. I don't know what it's gonna look like or anything". "Is Khodie gonna be there?".

"Um I don't know for sure. I didn't set up the guest list but she is Ryan bestie and she is my friend too so maybe?". "You know how I feel about her". "I know but it's going to be okay I promise". "Okay".  "Well I'll see you later and wear black please. You and my mom and I will be wearing black. You guys are my family". "Okay I'll wear a black dress". "Okay love you I'll see you later tonight". "Love you too Reyna".

I grabbed my purse and my keys and I got in my car and I called my husband on my bluetooth in my car. "Hello". "Hey my sexy man". "Hey my beautiful wife". "Can you please run me some bath water please and pick out something nice to wear to Reyna's party tonight". "Okay is there anything thing else you would like my love?". "Yes can I have ice cream while I take a bath I've been craving it all day". "Okay my queen I got you". "Thanks I love you". "And I love you be safe". "I'll be home soon".

I walked into my kitchen in my apartment and I looked in my fridge. There's was no food in here. "Cymia didn't I ask you to go grocery shopping".  "Oh yeah babe I forgot. I'm sorry". "Well did you at least go and pay the bills today like I asked you to?".
"Yeah I did that. So are we still going to Reyna's party tonight?". "Yeah she's my friend and my besties girl I will be there. You coming with me right?". "Of course I'm going to go run and get my nails done real quick". "Okay". "Love you". "Love you too" she quickly pecked my lips and left.

I ordered me a pizza and I went took a shower and washed my hair. I wonder if Janai is going to be there tonight? I haven't seen her in like two years. I mean Reyna really don't talk to me about her at all. But I'm been really into my music Im always working. I'm really successful that's all I could ask for. I got a good girl. Me and Cymia got really close after me and Janai broke up.

I have a step sister her name is Ella. Isla has a daughter that my dad and her were keeping a secret. She's awesome though. She's really cool and she likes music too. We bond a lot we are the best of sisters. Speaking of sisters me and Charlie are doing better. We actually talk on a daily basis now.

I started to flat iron my hair and then my phone rang. "Hey Ko". "What up Sauce". "Can you come to hall early I need help please". "Yeah I got you just let me get dress and I'll be there". "Thanks your a life saver". "No problem bye". "Bye".

I walked into my house and my dog Spechelle met me with a toy in her mouth. I grabbed it and I threw it and I proceeded to walk to my fridge and grab me a bottle of water. My lovely husband came and kissed me on the cheek. "Hey baby I missed you". "I miss you too love". "How was work?". "It was great I sold ten paintings and fourteen sculptures". "That's really good well I ran you bath like you asked me too". "Okay thanks you bae". I walked up my stairs through our bedroom to the bathroom.  The lights were off and they were rose petals all on the floor and in the bathtub and candles lite around the bathroom.

"Babe what's all this". "I just wanted you to come home to a relaxing bath after work".  "Awe your so sweet to me". I gave him some kisses. I put my things down and pinned my hair up. I got in the tub and listen to some music. "Here you go bae". He handed me a bowl of chocolate ice cream. "You remembered. You are amazing". "I know I am" He chuckled. "Conceited much? But I want to ask you something".  He leaned on the counter, "Okay shoot".

"I really want the house of my dreams. I mean we sorta jumped into this one after we got married but I feel like we could really get the home we want". "Babe it's gonna be hard for us to compromise you know that". "Yeah I know but we could make it work I promise plus I want more room for the baby and a nice backyard and a home gym". "Okay maybe we can make a budget and start doing some looking around". "Really?". "Yes!". "Yay I'm so happy". "I will do anything for you to happy and for my baby to have a good life".

"Ryan the dj is here where do you want him to set up?". "Up in the corner". "Okay". Ryan is really going out of his way for Reyna I think it's because he's gonna propose to her tonight. She's going to be so surprised. I hope she says yes because if she says no I can't have my bro out here looking stupid.

Cymia walked up to me. She was looking great as usual. She wore a blush velvet dress and heels and her hair curly. "Hey baby". She gave me a kiss. "You look amazing Mia". "Thanks does Ryan need anymore help?". "No we are finished people should be showing up shortly". "Okay cool".

After a while it's been like an hour or so and still no sign of Reyna. I get it you can be fashionably late for your own party but come on. I got a drink at the bar. I turned around and I started to drink it and then I saw Janai walk in looking stunning. Her arm was interlocked with a Spanish looking man with curly long hair.  I accidentally dropped my cup and my drink splashed on my pants leg.

I went to the bathroom and I got a paper towel and wet it and started to wipe my pants. The door opened and I looked up it was Janai. "Hey". "Uh Hey I have to potty". She went in the stall. "It's been a long time since I've seen you". "Uh well yeah". "How have you been?". "Good really good what about you?". "Been good working hard". "That's good".

She came up and fixed her dress when she turned to the side i noticed she had a belly. I think she's pregnant. "Your glowing I see your expecting do you know what it is?". "Uh no not yet but my husband and I  want it to be a surprise". "Husband? Wow your married". "Yes I am". "That's cool". "Thanks". I watched her wash her hands and leave.

I couldn't grasp anything that is going on. She someone's else's wife and not mine. I wanted to start a family with her. Someone has my dream and I'm kinda upset about that. Janai was suppose to be mine.
