I walked back out to Janai's parents. "So what are we gonna do? We got to find this nigga". "Yeah we do? Does anyone have Janai's phone?". "No. It must be back at her place". "Okay Ryan and Reyna let's go to Janai's house and we will be right back".

We met up at Janai's house and Reyna had a key. "Okay let's go look for her phone". I searched her room and then I heard , " I found it". I walked back downstairs and I met up with Reyna and Ryan. "Reyna do you know the passcode". "Yeah I got it". She put her finger on the touch pad to get in. "Let me see it". I scrolled through her contacts and I saw hubby and I clicked.

I held the phone to my ear and it ranged about four times until I heard an answer. "Man Janai what do  you want? Leave me alone I called the ambulance. What more do you want?". "Uh Channing this Kodie. Janai is in a coma and she might die. We need you to come to the hospital". "Nah man that's too much for me". "Well we can't help her with out you. The doctors want you to come plus you don't want to see your daughter". "Look ill come but only to see my kid. I'll come see her then I'm out". "Whatever dude be there soon". "He will be here soon".  "I swear when I see that boy I will kill him"Janai dad said.

After a while went by and Channing came and sign the paperwork. I was waiting for him to come out the room so i could talk to him. He went to go see Baby serenity. I was texting my dad to let him know what was going on. He gets so stressed and he loves Janai just like a daughter. I see Channing walk out and I walked up to him and he was whipping his face. It looked like he had been crying.

"How are you feeling?". "She's just so beautiful. Please take good care of her". "I will no doubt". "I know that Janai loves you and I hope you all forgive me for what I've done but I have a whole family to think about too". "Channing she is the love of my life. She could die at any moment. You get to go live with the one you love the most but my baby is in a coma". "Yeah I get it it's selfish". "It is but thanks for signing the papers man". "No problem. Keep me posted on the Baby. Send me pictures every now and then". "No doubt. But uh you better get out of here before Janai's dad whoops your ass". "Good looking out". He rushed off.

It's been several months and since serenity was born. Janai's parents have been really distant but they come see the baby every once in a while.  I was feeding Serenity when my phone rung. "Hello". "Is this Kodie Williams?". "Yes this is she". "This is nurse Bridgett I'm called My about Janai status and she's finally out of her coma and she's asked about you".  "I'm on my way".

I burped serenity quickly and I put her in her car seat and I grabbed my keys and I rushed to the hospital. I was walking to her room and I hear her yelling. "What happen to my baby? Where is my baby?". I walked in the room and I sat the car seat on the chair. "Janai?". "Kodie is that really you?". "Yes it's me". "They telling me that I've been in a coma for about five months. They took my baby from me. I woke up and she wasn't inside of me anymore". "You were in a coma and you were basically dying they had to take her out to try to at least save both of you. She's good though I have her".

"You have her? Can I see her?". "Yeah". I unbuckled her car seat straps and I took her out and I handed her to Janai. "Oh she's so beautiful". "She really is". "What's her name?". "Serenity Nicole Williams". "Williams? Where is Channing?". "He left you here and he filed for divorce". "Ugh I can't stand him. Thanks for taking care of my daughter Kodie well our daughter since she has your last name". "Janai I love you. You know this. I don't want anyone else. I've been praying for you more than I pray for myself. I can't stand to go each day with you in my life. I love serenity and I want us to be a family. Will you marry me please?".

"Yes I'll marry you. There's not a doubt in my mind I don't want anyone else either. I mean you stuck around all this time even when I was dying. I know love your love is pure". "I love you". "I love you too Kodie. Let's get out of here. I've been here too long". "Let's go enjoy our life together". "Yeah you and me and little Serenity".
