Unforgiven

It's been a couple of days it's now Friday and I get to leave today. My parents are signing my release papers. I'm suppose to go home with them and I haven't told Khodie yet. I know she's going to be upset.

I got my bags and then Khodie walks in and she kissed me. "Hey baby. What are you doing here?". "Hey.. I missed you like crazy. I'm here to get you".  "Um yeah I missed you too but I can't come with you". "Say what? Why not". "My doctor wants to go home with my family". "But I'm your family too". "I know but I'll see you two weeks I promise". "That seems like forever from now".

"I know but we will talk every day".  "But I miss you. This sucks". I gave her a kiss. "Just behave yourself and have a good time I'll see you in two weeks". "Okay... I love you". "I love you too babe". "Let me help you with your things".

She walked me out the hospital to my dads car. I gave her a hug and a kiss. She held me super tight. "Please don't leave me". "I don't want to but I have to babe. These two weeks will pass by fast". "Fine. I'll see you when I get home". "Alright bye Khodie". "Bye".

She looked so sad. It's going to be a long two weeks. I got in my dads car and both my parents turned around and looked at me. "What?". "Nothing let's go home".

Moms p.o.v.

After we got settled for a while my husband walks in our room and closes the door behind him.  "So Sabbi are we just suppose to be okay with our daughter being with a woman? Because I'm not".

"Why are you so upset? It's not like she's on drugs or pregnant".
"So what that's a sin and don't act like it's not".  "So what? Jesus died for our sins. He knew the sins we are gonna make before we do. We are all the same in gods eyes".

"No we are not".
"You cant be serious right now Ahmed?".
"I am I'm not gonna let this happen".
I laid my head on my hand, "So what are you gonna do then? Tell her that she can't be with her anymore? That will crush her heart babe. That's not right. Just let her be happy".

"I don't care". "So you don't care about your own daughters happiness? How crazy does that sound to you? How dumb can you be?".

"Look I'm done talking about this. Just know that I got this under control". "Nope don't do this. I won't let you do this". "Well we will see about that" he said as he walked out the room.

I was on FaceTime with Khodie. Then my dad walked in the room. "No bae? Of course I'm gonna see you for our anniversary. It's our first anniversary I wouldn't miss it for the world".  "Hey Janai can we talk for a minute?". "Uh yeah dad. Khodie I will call you back in minute". I hung up the phone.

"What do you want to talk about daddy?".
He sat on the bed in front of me. "Well I want to talk to you about Khodie". "Didn't we already talk about this already".

"I think that you shouldn't talk to Khodie anymore?". "What do you mean?". "You need to break up with her period". "How can you come in here and tell me that? You don't have the right to tell me that".

"Janai it's not because she's a woman don't think it's because of that. It's a sin and your out here with this girl and it looks bad on us as parents that you turn out this way. So what I want you to do is break up with her do you hear me. End of discussion". He got up and walked away.

I can't believe he just said that. That's so messed up man. What am I gonna do.
