Rope or Ride

A Day To Remember

Jade started to unload her horses. Cody went to go put bedding in the stalls. She was unloading her last horse when someone came up behind her and covered her eyes. She smiled.

"Ty--" she was cut by Kollin's smile

"Tyler is at the feed store"

"Oh my god! Kollin!" Jade said with excitement and hugged him.

"Good to see you to Jade" Kollin said

"You too... You look great"

He looked beyond great. 'Hot damn' Jade thought. That smile, is just, no words can't explain. Jade couldn't help but blush a bit, not to noticeable. Kollin grabbed the lead rope from her hands. He led two horses to the barn and Jade led the last one. She felt like she was home all over again. She put Jester, Poncho, and Dakota all next to each other. Then she fed and watered. She head back to the trailer, to unhook it. While doing so, Kollin was walking towards her with two horses. One looked exactly like Stark but had four white socks. The other was a sorrel with a blaze face. They were built and healthy.

"What do think Jade?" Kollin asked

"Nice set of ponies you got there... Are these the ones that Cody was tellin me about"

"Yep... This one is a seven year old from South Dakota (Looks like Stark) The one on my right is a eight year old from Texas"

"Awh... What's their names"

"They're your horses now Jade.."

"Well Dakota is taken already... Hmmm.. Lets go with Rio for the eight year old and Teo for the seven year old"

"You sure..."

"I don't know... I'm bad with names.."

"Well... will think of it... Sometimes.. Till then lets go for a ride"

"Yeah... Show me your world"

Kollin went to go saddle up the horses. Jade was still unpacking a few stuff. By the time he was done, she was changing her shoes. She was riding the seven year old. They both made their way to the open range. Then they started to trot. By the time the horse started running, he was smooth.

They stopped on top of a hill, to give the horses a breather. Jade already got use to one horse already. But she finally found out a name for him.

"His name is Caddy" Jade said

"Why's that"

"Because he's smooth like one... You can't tell if he's running. It's one smooth ride"

"Ok... What bout him" Kollin said pointing at the eight year old

"Depends... Let me see what he got" Jade said

Jade jumped on the other horse. Started running him in a circle. He was quick on his feet. He had the speed. Then she found a name for him.

"His name is Viper"

"You don't have a thing for cars do you" Kollin said jokingly

"Use to..."

"Huh.."

"Why"

"Well you have him named Caddy and him name Viper"

"Hey... I go by personalities. And these two have great personalities"

"Like their owner"

"Funny.. "

"I'm serious Jade"

"Yeah ok.."

Jade had her back turned when Kollin walked up to her. She was petting Viper. Kollin stepped in front of her. She looked up at him and smiled. His dark brown eyes staring into hers. Then Viper pushed Jade into Kollin, using his nose.
