Truth Be Told

Jade and LJ were off to dinner. For some reason this didnt feel awkward at all. Jade is so calm about this. But why was it so quite? Jade waited for him to speak but nothing. She decide to break the silence.

"Where we goin" She asked

"You'll find out.. when we get there"

"Riiiight"

"Jade.. the impatient girl.."

"Excuse you.. i am not impatient"

He looked at her with the 'yes you are' look and he gives her a smirk.

Jade starts blushing. She knows his smile and small smirks causes her to blush. She turned her head away to hide her blushing.

"Is Jade blushing" He asked

Jade shook her head and she smiles. But she still had her head turned. She hoped he wont ask to prove it.

"Then why do you have your head turned" he asked

"no reason.. just lookin outside.. wondering where im goin"

"Uh huh... so your not hiding anything"

"Like what"

"Your red cheeks..."

"my what?!"

She quickly turned around. LJ just laughs at her. She grabbed out her phone and put the front camera on. Her cheeks were bright pink. Now shes embarrassed.

"awh.. wittle Jade is blushing" LJ said in a baby voice

"go ahead... keep the sweet talkin comin"

LJ laughs and Jade smiles.

Then the car stops. Jade looked around but none it looked familiar. She hears water and soft music playing. She looked around and saw a table with candles. LJ grabbed her hand and led her to the table. She hesitated at first.

"Where are we" she asked

"not gonna tell you"

"Why" Jade whined

"cause.."

"fine...whats the occasion"

"Just a simple dinner"

"sure.. if it was a simple dinner.. we would be sittin in a fast food joint" Jade joked

"Ha! Your funny.. i didnt think of that"

Jade gave him a smirk. She looked and saw a wave roll in. She got up and walked over. She took her boots off and walked in the water. Feeling the salty water between her toes. She stood there looking out in the ocean. All of a sudden tears started trailing.

"Jade you alright" LJ asked

"Im fine..."

"Come on Jade"

"Why"

"Why what"

"Why did you do it"

"Cause I love you"

"Im not talking about this.. Im talking bout why did you mess around behind my back"

"Are we doing this right now?"

"Yes"

"It was rush"

Jade turned and walked away from him. Before she took another step, LJ grabbed her wrist. He saw the tears, he was bout to wipe em away but Jade smacked his hand away.

"Jade whats wrong"

"Whats wrong.. I am standing here on a beach with you.. and the memories we talked bout where we should get married.. and I told you a summer night wedding on a beach.. now look where we are!"

LJ let go and put his head down. Jade walked away. She was walking along the shore line. LJ watched her walk away. How can he forget? It was her dream to marry him but he broke it. They talked about their future together.

Jade took a seat in the sand. She sat there thinking. Wishing Kollin was here. Wishing these two weeks would fly by. She continue to stare out in the ocean, wiping every tear that fell. 'Why didnt we just go to a simple restaraunt'  Jade thought.

"You really wanna know dont you" LJ asked

Jade didnt say anything. She sat there letting the tears fall. Waiting for this night to end. But she knew, with LJ its never gonna end.

"well heres the truth... at some point I thought I stopped loving you.. so I tried to prove a point... and thats how I started doing all those things"

"You proved your point.. you did stop loving me"

Jade sat there taking in what he just said  Wishing she didnt had to hear it. But she was begging for the truth. He spoke truth. LJ sat down and joined her. He reached for her but she scooted away.

"LJ.. Have you ever thought bout me being back in your life"

"Every day"

"Than why didnt you do a thing about it"

"I wanted to straighten myself out.. before I see you..and now that Im lookin at you... I realized I made a mistake"

"Mistake of dating me"

"No... mistake of stop loving you"

"What did I do" she mumble to herself

"Jade.. you didnt do anything"

"Your right.. i didnt do anything.. I didnt do anything at all... and im blaming you for it"

"No Jade... I made the mistake... I let you walk.. I was a selfish"

"No... its my fault... my fault for all of this... its. my. fault"

Jade got up and LJ pulled her back down. He wrapped his arms around her, not wanting to let go. He held her tight.

"Jade listen to me... your aching because of me.. I failed you.. I failed.. I failed to give you everything you ever wanted. I failed to be by your side. And Im tired of failing.. and the only thing I really want in this life, is to share my life with yours again"

Jade didnt know what to say. This was a complete different LJ. The LJ she once knew, never really opened up. He always kept his problems held in. Hes never been so honest. He did love her. Jade sat there taking in his words. Giving her second thoughts. Maybe she wasnt the only one who wasn't over their relationship. She finally relaxed him his arms.

"Are you ok?" He asked softly

Jade nodded and turned her head.

"Babe.. dont cry.. please.." LJ begged

"LJ.. Im.."

"Hey.. Hey.. its ok.. dont blame yourself for my mistakes.. look at me Jade"

Jade looked up at him. He looked into her dark brown eyes, trying to read her.

"Jade.. I love you... im not bs'n my way through.. You are and always will be the girl Ill ever love"

She leaned her head against his chest. Hearing his steady heart beat and breathing. She missed being in his arms. She missed hearing that heart beat. She missed his voice. She missed everything about him.

"Jade" he asked

"yeah"

"if we were to get back together... would move back in.. honestly.. im getting tired of waking up to Rango every morning"

"LJ... I..."
