Its Not a Dream

The next day Jade woke up speechless. Was that all a dream? Did she really see LJ? What does she do? Should she still go on this date？ She was lost in her questions when her phone went off.

'Jade.. I hope were still on about dinner... I really want to see you tonight.. Ill still love you no matter what your choices are.. Good luck tonight..'

Is he serious? How can this be? Going to dinner with a guy who she hasnt seen for four years. Is he really serious about getting her back? Jade sat there confuse. Cody sat next to her. He was waving his hand in front of her.

"You whoo! Jade" Cody said

"Cody.. please tell me last night was a dream"

"About"

"LJ.. was he really here last night"

Cody put his head down and nodded. Jade got up and started pacing around. It wasnt a dream after all. LJ was here last night. But why would he want Jade back all of sudden?

"Jade.. what did he say to you last night" Cody asked

"I think... I think he wants me back"

"What did he say"

"He still loves me.. he thinks the reason why I rushed it with Kollin is so I can get him off my mind. Cody I dont know what to do" Jade said with frustrastion

"Jade... Kollin is in Vegas... and your here.. at least give him a chance.. to see what he wants"

"I dont know... Im afraid"

"Afraid of what"

"That my feelings for him will start to grow"

"Sis.. dont think.. just do it.. if we screw up tonight.. than hey we can blame it on LJ"

"haha.. your mean"

"what? its true.. you wouldnt be in this mess if it werent for him."

"mm.. true"

Hours later the evening performance was getting ready to start. Jade was pumped to rope. But LJ would come to mind often. She quickly pushed him out of her mind.

In speaking of boys, Jade hasnt heard from Tyler or Kollin all day. Then she thought back, they're at the Hork Dog roping. She checked her phone and all she got was a message from LJ but that was this morning.

Jade rode Viper again. The cattle were a bit strong, she decided to go with Viper. She warmed up Viper but she got the feeling of someone watching her.

She looked around and sure enough someone was. She saw LJ staring at her from the distance. She couldnt help but smile. Jade continued to do her thing.

The team roping was starting, Jade and Cody were the eighth team out. She watched the first seven teams. She now has her work cut out for her. Her and Cody walked into the box and backed up in the corner. She called for it, they stuck one to be 4.1. The crowd went crazy, especially the ladies. Once again Jade and Cody win the round. They took a victory lap.

The rodeo was finally over. Jade was unsaddling when LJ came up to her.

"Hey champ" LJ said

"haha.. Hey"

"You need help"

"uh.. mainly just the brushing"

"Ok"

LJ walked over to the tack room and grabbed a brush. Then he walked back and started brushing Viper down. Jade looked at him. This reminded her, when LJ was puting the blanket on Stark.

"So.. uh.. wheres your kiddos" LJ asked

"Retired... at home" Jade said

"Oh.. whose horse is this"

"Mine.."

"Ah.. whats his name"

"Viper.. and I got another one in the stall.. his name is Eagle"

"Where did you find em"

"Well.. they were bought for me actually.."

"By who"

"The boys and Kollin"

"I see they still spoil you" LJ joked

"Hey.. I didnt ask.. they insisted"

"Sure.. they did"

"You callin me a liar"

"Im not"

"Ah.. but your workin your way towards it though"

"Haha.. you caught me"

"Not as sly like you think you are"

"I try"

"Well you aint tryin hard enough"

"Ouch"

"Haha.. come on..lets go put this guy back in the stall"

LJ and Jade walked back towards the stalls. Jade put Viper back in his stall. Cody already fed and watered, Jade didnt have to worry about it.

"You ready for dinner" LJ asked

"Let me change"

"Why.. you look great the way your dressed right now"

"Cause I wanna be comfortable"

"Ok"

Jade rushed back to the trailer amd changed. She ran out to find LJ standing next to a limo. Her jaw dropped.

"Ready ms billings" LJ asked

"Always"

"Lets go"
