Bad Timing

Jade was ready to rope tonight. LJ has been calling her non-stop. He'll call or text her any time of the day. They havent seen each other in two already. LJ did pretty good at the PBR event. Now that the PBR is off for the weekend, LJ decided to fly to Sherdian to see Jade rope. But the flight he booked, was delayed. That was out of the question. He misses Jade. All the callin, textin, and face timin wasnt enough for him. He had to see her. He miss waking up next to her.

These two weeks felt like eternity to him. Minutes to hours, hours to days and days to weeks. He wanted to see Jade rope. Last time he saw her rope was back in Red Bluff. She hasnt changed one bit.

LJ finally boarded his flight. He was off to Sherdian.

LJ finally landed in Sherdian. He was anxious to meet Jade. He told Jade he landed. She told him ok. But he couldnt find her. Then she called him.

"Hey babe"

"You know... its not nice to ignore your girlfriend"

"what? where are you"

"turn around"

LJ turned around and saw Jade standing there with the phone still against her ear. He hung up the phone and made his way towards her.

"How can I miss the most beautiful girl in this airport.. am I blind?" LJ said

"I have no idea..." Jade said and chuckled

"well I missed my girlfriend... can you take me to her"

"I dont know... maybe you should go to her yourself"

LJ pulled Jade in for a kiss. He pulled away and smiled at her. Jade handed over the keys and LJ picked up his bags. They walked out of the airport hand in hand.

"Where to" LJ asked

"Mmmm.. surprise me" Jade said and yawned

"Jade why are you sleepy"

"I didnt sleep to well last night"

"uh huh.. why is that"

"Cause I was too excited to see my handsome" Jade said with a smile

LJ kissed her hand and smiled at her.

LJ and Jade ate at a small diner and made their way back to the arena. They pulled up to her trailer and saw Cody roping the dummy. They both got out.

"LJ! Hey brotha" Cody said and gave LJ a man hug.

"Haha... good to see you too Cody"

LJ stayed outside with Cody. Jade had to get ready for her second performance. She grabbed out her starched shirt and jeans. She put em on then her boots. She walked back out to see Cody and LJ saddling up the horses.

Jade grabbed her horse's split, skid, and bell boots. She put em on. She'll be using Eagle this time. Once Jade was set, she hopped on her horse and off she went.

She was warming up Eagle when she spotted LJ. She rode up to him.

"Hey stranger" Jade said

"Good evening miss..." LJ said

"Whats your name" Jade asked

"Larry... but uh.. everyone else calls me LJ.. wait.. your LJ Jenkins's girlfriend right"

"Eh... somewhat" Jade joked

"Ouch babe"

"Hahaha..."

LJ jumped on the horse with Jade. He sat behind her and they made their way to the box.

The team roping was about to start. Jade was pumped. LJ pushed out her steer for her. She nodded her head and they ran a 4.9 enough to come back for short go tomorrow night.

Jade rode back to the trailer. It was only her. LJ and Cody wanted to finish watching the rodeo. Jade tied up Eagle and walked in the trailer. Where she found Kollin waitin for her.

"Holy shit! Kollin what the hell are you doing here"

"Came to see you"

"How did you know I was here"

"Schedule... left it in my trailer"

"Oh"

Kollin started walking towards Jade. Jade kept walkin back until she was against the counter. She stared at Kollin, wondering what the hell he was doing. He leaned slowly. Jade moved her head back, trying to avoid what was about to happen. He put his hands on both side of her face. He kissed her. Jade couldnt move, she was blocked and Kollin had his hands on her face. Then the door opened. There stood LJ. Shocked out of his mind. He slammed the door and walked off. Jade tried to push Kollin off but couldnt. From what she heard outside, LJ told Cody to drop him off at the airport.

When she finally escaped Kollin's grip, they took off. She tried calling but LJ didnt pick up. She was upset and pissed at the same time. She kept callin and callin. But still he wouldnt pick up.

She walked back in the trailer.

"Kollin.. What the hell is wrong with you" she yelled

"I needed my revenge on him"

"And I was the tool"

"No.."

"Give me your keys"

"Why"

"Kollin.. please..."

"no!"

"fine"

Jade walked out. She found Shane.

"Shane can I borrow your truck real quick"

"Yeah sure" he said

He lend her the keys. She jumped in and off she went to the airport. She checked the flights and his flight leaves in twenty minutes. She rushed through traffic.

She finally arrived at the airport. She parked the truck and ran inside. She found LJ sitting on the bench. Jade sat next to him.

"What do you want Jade" he asked

"You"

"After what I saw.. I'll pass"

"Please"

"Jade you honestly think... I can.."

"I tried to push him off... and he kissed me.. and I didnt wa..."

"Save it Jade"

"Fine.. see ya some where down the road LJ.. Safe flight"

Jade walked off. She hoped he would go after her but nothing. She got in the truck, tears streaming down like a river. Never in her mind she thought bout hurting LJ. She didnt want to be kiss by Kollin. She sat in the truck, wondering what to do next. She finally got the guts to start it and leave the airport.

Jade drove back the arena. She quickly wiped her tears, so Shane wont ask what happened. She found his trailer and parked it outside. She knocked on the door and Shane answered.

"Thanks Shane.. see ya tomorrow"

"No problem.. see ya Jade"

Jade turned and walked away. She walked back to her trailer. Finding only Cody in there this time. She didnt evem talk to him, she went straight to bed.

The next day, Jade laid in bed all day. Didnt care to eat or even step outside. She laid there until an hour before the perfomance then she got ready. She looked outside and saw Eagle saddled up. She jumped on him and warmed up.

The team roping was starting. Jade couldnt focus one bit. All she thought about was LJ. Jade and Cody were up. She called for it. Her and Cody ran a 5.9, the slowest time they've had all season. Jade was disgusted with her performance.

Jade went to unsaddle and feed the horses. Her phone has been silent all day. Once she fed everyone, she went to sleep.
