LJ and Jade are now back at home. LJ wants to throw their engagement party right before they leave to Las Vegas. Since they'll be passing through.

Jade is an organized person. She has her weeks planned out. On Wednesday, she's gonna be gone for the day. LJ has to come up with a small white lie. He wants to take this opportunity to call Jen and plan the party.

"Hey babe.. where you going again" LJ said

"Midland.. gotta pick up a new horse.. why"

"Oh just wondering.. that reminds me.. I need to run back to Porum on wednesday"

"Oh.. ok"

"I wont go if you dont want me to go"

"No.. its not that.."

"Than what?"

"Nothin.. Ill ask Cody to tag along"

"Ok.. you sure"

"Yeah hun.. Its not the first time will be apart"

"Yeah..."

LJ kinda felt bad for not going with her. But he knew he had to make something up, in order to plan the party.

Wednesday

Jade was gettin ready to head out to Midland. LJ was pretending to get ready for his so call trip back to Porum. Jade had her trailer hooked up to her truck already. She was waitin for Cody to show up.

"Babe... do you know when you'll be back" LJ asked

"Uh.. bout dinner time... the earliest"

"Ok.. I should be back before then"

"alright.. oh.. Cody is here.. see you later babe"

"Arent you forgettin something" LJ said and held up the keys

"Yeah.. hahaha" Jade said and walked up to him

"And this"

LJ gave her a peck on the lips. Since his kisses are warm and soft, Jade couldnt let go. She tried to pull away but LJ held her close.

"Babe... I... Have.. To.. Go" Jade said between kisses

"ok.. I love you"

"Love you too"

Finally Jade was out the door. She jumped in the driver seat and off she went.

LJ watched them leave the house. He walked back inside and started calling around. He called some places in New Mexico. Then he finally made a call to Jen.

"Hello"

"Hey Jen"

"Hi LJ... What can I do you for"

"Im gonna need your help for the engagement party"

"Sure sweetheart... what did you need"

"I need to find a place to have it at.. do you know where we can have it at"

"Umm... do you want to have it here in our town or somewhere else..."

"I was thinkin Albuquerque.. that way it wont be too much for my family."

"yeah.. that'll work for us too.. you can try the Resorts. Like Sandia or the Hardrock."

"Ok.. Ill try that.. another question.. whats her favorite dish"

"Roast beef.. oh.. what bout the invitations"

"Yeah.. I need to send some of those out"

"When is the party"

"A week before we leave for Las Vegas"

"Oh.. perfect timing"

"Why is that"

"Jade's siblings will be in town by then"

"Great"

"How bout your family..."

"They will be flyin in..."

"Sounds like a plan... What else did you need"

"Help settin it up"

"Ok... let me know when and where... and Ill start it the day before you guys arrive"

"That would be great... thanks Jen"

"Your welcome.. have a good day LJ"

"Thanks... you too"

LJ got off the phone with Jade's mom. Now he has to start callin the hotels to see what they have avaiable.

LJ called all the casinos in Albuquerque. So far Hardrock is their best bet. After LJ put a down payment on the conference room, he called Jen back. He told her when and where. Now that the place is set. He just has to work on the invitations and send em out.

LJ looked at the time and it was already four o'clock. After he sent out emails to his friends and family, he traveled to the grocery store, to get something to cook. Jade could be home early. Before he made his trip to the grocery store, he called Jade.

"Larry"

"Jade"

"Whats up hun"

"Oh nothing... just got back from Porum"

"Oh I see... were heading back too.. we should be home bout six or seven"

"Ok babe.. see you then.. i love you and safe travels"

"Yep.. thanks Hun.. love you too"

"Bye"

"Bye"

Jade hung up the phone. LJ has time to make dinner. He grabbed his keys and went to the grocery store.

He pulled into the grocery store. He walked in and started shopping. LJ was cravin for steaks. He shopped for side dishes and also bought a case of coors light.

He made it home and started cooking. By the time he was done, Jade and Cody pulled up. He covered the food and walked outside.

He saw Jade standing next a sorrel horse. He was about average height and stocky. LJ walked up to Jade.

"This is the horse you bought" he asked

"Yep... a seven year old gelding.. His name is Caballo"

"Ca- what?"

"Caballo"

"Oh.. well dinner is on the table"

"Ok.. will be in there in a bit"

Jade went to go put Caballo in the stall. Cody unhooked the trailer and walked back into Jade's house. He saw LJ settin the table.

"Hey Cody.. Are we all travelin together to Vegas.. or are you takin your own rig"

"Im takin my own... but ill be followin you guys.. why.. whats up"

"I planned a enagement party.. at the hardrock.. but Jade doesn't know about it. Makin it a surprise.. its a week before we leave for Vegas "

"oh.. so you want me to lead you guys there"

"If you can.. cause I know Ill be doing the driving"

"Alright... I'll lead you guys"

"Thanks bud"

"yep"

Jade finally walked in.
