Rope or Ride

Logandale

Kollin and Tyler had to rope friday afternoon and hopefully saturday night. The two went to the casino to have breakfast since it was a buffet. But Kollin missed Jade. Jade was in Clovis and then she heads to Red Bluff. Kollin wont see her for another two weeks.

"Anything from Jade" Tyler asked

"Yeah.. she said good morning.. there gonna be in Clovis until friday and then head out to Red Bluff saturday.. after Red Bluff will see em in Oakdale which is not until two weeks"

"Ah.. How did they do? what bout their second one"

"Cody slipped a leg.. they were 10.5.. they rope this afternoon for their second steer "

"Cody... Cody.. probably tried to float it again"

"Probably.. you done eating.. Im full"

"Yeah.. should last me all day"

"alright"

Tyler and Kollin walked out of the buffet and played at the blackjack table. Well Tyler played not Kollin. Tyler was on a roll. He won two hundred bucks so far and he only bet thirty bucks. Tyler made his last bet of fifty bucks and won it back again. Kollin had to drag him away before he put it back.

"Kollin I was on a roll" Tyler whined

"I know.. but do you have any idea what time it is"

"Oh crap..."

Tyler and Kollin had thirty minutes to get back to the arena. Because they were up in the afternoon performance. Kollin dropped off Tyler at the stables, so he can get the horses. Kollin rushed back to the trailer to get the tack room open.

By the time they were done saddling up, the national anthem was starting. Kollin walked over to the warm up arena, Tyler followed. The boys were ready by the beginning of the steer wrestling. The team roping was after the steer wrestling.

The team roping was gettin ready to start. Tyler and Kollin were the fifth team out. Finally the announcered called for Tyler and Kollin. Tyler called for it and they ran a 4.3, enough for em to come back and rope tomorrow night.

Kollin was laughing about it. All that rushing around payed off. The two made it back to the trailer. They fed and watered the horses. Kollin decided to call Jade.

'Hello'

'Hey babe'

'Hey.. hows it going in Logandale'

'Pretty good.. made it back for tomorrow nights performance.. what bout you'

'Thats good..Holding on by a thread.. If Cody didnt leg up on the second one, we couldve been safe'

'Really? that sucks.. just keep your fingers crossed'

'yeah.. but if we dont make it back.. were gonna head to Red Bluff in the morning'

'Oh I see.. what are you guys gonna do now'

'Uh.. probably get something to eat.. what about you guys'

'oh.. ok.. us.. were probably gonna stick around here.. since we almost got turned out because of Tyler'

'Oh gosh.. what happened'

'Gambling'

'Sounds like him.. its good you guys made it back though'

'yeah.. well I better get going.. ill talk to you later on tonight.. ok babe?'

'Ok.. I love and miss you Kolly'

'Kolly?'

'Oh my god! Is that all you heard'

'Haha.. Im just kidding babe... I love and miss you too'

'Better be.. haha.. see ya babe'

'Haha.. see ya love'

Jade hung up. Kollin just smiled to himself. He put his phone back in his pocket. Right as he did, his phone beeped. He had a picture message from Jade.

"I love and miss you Kolly! Good luck tomorrow night.. oh yeah Cody and I made the short round"

"Thanks...Thats great babe... Good luck to you too.. I love and miss you too"

"Awh thanks love.. :D"

"Your welcome! ;)"

Kollin was happy Jade made it back. He just wished that he was there with her.

Later that evening, the rodeo started back up. Tyler and Kollin sat on the heeling side. They only wanted to watch the team and dont care for the rest. The team finally started. All the teams went and Tyler and Kollin were still leading it. After the team Tyler and Kollin walked back to the trailer to sleep.

The next day Kollin went to the stalls to check on the horses. Kollin walked over to the stalls half asleep. He checked the water and they were still full. He made his way back to the trailer and saw Tyler walk out.

"Morning bud.. hows the horses" Tyler said

"Morning.. they're still good on water"

Tyler walked back inside the trailer. He sat on the couch and turned on the tv. Kollin went to the room and grabbed his clothes and went to the shower room. Kollin was done gettin dressed. He found Tyler sleeping on the couch. Kollin left to get breakfast. He roamed around Logandale, looking for a fastfood joint. He found himself a McDonalds. He went to the drive thru and ordered. Payed for the meal and made his way back to the arena.

"Tyler.. I got some breakfast bud" Kollin said.

Tyler didnt wake up. Kollin grabbed out a hashbrown and put it in front of Tyler's nose. As soon as the hashbrown scent hit Tyler, his eyes shot open. Kollin knew Tyler would wake up because he is in love with McDonalds.

They boys ate and then Tyler got ready. Kollin watched a movie in the room. He was watching Secretariat. He kicked back and enjoyed the movie.

Tonight is the short round. Tyler and Kollin were second high call. Since Tyler grabbed the horses yesterday, it was Kollin's turn. Kollin grabbed the horses and made his way back to the trailer. Tyler walked out of the dressing room wearing jeans this time. They started to saddle up. Once Kollin had his horse saddled up, he went to go change his clothes.

Two hours pasted, the team roping was starting. Tyler was pumped. They drew the same steer from yesterday. Eight teams went out already and now its Tyler and Kollins turn to rope. They roped and ran a 4.5. Now they are leading the round and average. One team left to sweat out. High call ran a 4.6. Pushing Tyler and Kollin to second the in the average. But hey, it was a good enough for them.

Tyler put up the horses up, while Kollin loaded up a bale in the back of the truck. He drove the truck to the stalls and started feeding the horses. He gave Tyler a lift back to the trailer. Even though they didnt do much all day, they fell asleep in no time.

The Logandale rodeo worked out for em. Tyler almost caused em to miss the performance. But it was a good thing Kollin was keeping track of time, well sort of.

Oh yeah.. Kollin and Tyler will be heading to Vegas for a roping.That will probably be in one of the upcoming chapters.
