Determination

The next day Jade woke up. She felt some weight on the left side of the bed. She turned her head and found a peaceful sleeping Kollin. He looked adorable when he sleeps. Jade looked under the blanket and he had is arm around her waist. She tried to slowly move his arm but couldnt. She quickly rolled off the bed. She rubbed her head.

"*ahem*" Kollin said

Jade gave him a shy smile.

"Good morning" She said

"Morning" Kollin replied

She slowly got up and walked to the bathroom. Jade was embarassed. She walked in the bathroom and did her business. Then made her way back. Jade didnt see Kollin in bed. Then the smell of panacakes came from downstairs. Jade walked down and saw Kollin making breakfast.

'Hmm.. I wonder if he does this for the boys all the time' Jade thought.

She walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around him.

"Need help" Jade asked

"You can start with the eggs" Kollin said

Jade walked over to the fridge and grabbed the eggs.

"Ok.. what kind of eggs.. over easy, scramble, or omlette" Jade asked

"Omlette sounds good" The boys said

Jade turned around and saw Tyler and Cody. Their hair stuck out in different directions. She couldnt help but laugh at them. Jade was done cookin the omlettes. She set the table for em. Kollin placed the panacakes in the middle of the table. But Tyler and Cody went straight for the omlettes.

Everyone ate breakfast. The boys went to go get dressed. While Jade washed dishes. Kollin helped her though. Once the dishes were done, Jade got in the shower, then got dressed. She made her way downstairs and found a sleeping Kollin. But he was dressed though. She shook her head and smiled. Jade walked up to him. She was leaning in to peck his cheek but he turned his head and planted a kiss on his lips. Jade pulled away and saw a smirk on his face.

"Kollin.." she whispered

He didnt say anything. She repeated his name but nothing happened. She got the idea of the whip cream again. She tip toed to the kitchen and grabbed the can of whip cream. She grabbed a feather. Jade slowly walked back and put whip cream on his hand. She tickled his nose lightly. Kollin smeared whip cream over his face. Jade added more whip cream on his hand. She repeated until his whole face was covered in whip cream. Jade was laughing. Kollin opened his eyes. He looked at his hand and found whip cream on it. Jade was too busy laughin when she didnt notice Kollin was awake. She stopped and he picked her up. He rubbed his face on hers and she laughed. Now both of em are covered in whip cream.

"now Im sticky" Jade whined

"Welcome to the club" Kollin said with a smile

Jade was lost in thought. She loved his smile. A smile that can brighten a day. She was still in a trance when Kollin pecked her.

"Mmm.. so sweet" Kollin said

"Is that so"

"yes ma'am.. now come on.. lets go play" Kollin insisted

The two of em walked out hand in hand. Then Kollin gave Jade a piggy back ride. He started running and then spinning.

"Kollin stop.. haha.. I just ate" Jade plead

Kollin finally stopped and started walking again. They made it to the barn and found out that their horses are already saddled. They turned towards the arena and found the boys. Jade jumped on Eagle and led Viper to the arena. Kollin jumped on Five and led Frank as well.

"Took you guys long enough" Cody said

"yeah.. yeah.. just rope" Jade said with a smirk

Jade tied up Viper and started warming up Eagle. By the time Jade and Kollin were done warming up, the boys were ready to rope. Jade roped with Cody and Tyler roped with Kollin. They figured they should rope with their own partners. Jade and Cody went first. They backed up in the box and Jade called for it. Eagle scored like a rock. He also had the speed and faced prettg quick. As the round went on, Jade already got use to Eagle. When round two rolled around, Jade ended up trying out Viper. Viper was like Eagle. But very quick on the facing. Jade was shocked. She never had a horse that faced this quick. Once Viper felt the tug, he did a 180 right off the back.

"Where did you guys get Viper from" Jade asked Cody

"Cant tell you"

"why"

"Cause its a secret"

"Haha.. shut up.. and tell me"

"how am I gonna tell you... if you told me to shut up"

"Smartass"

"Haha.. got ya"

Jade rolled her eyes and laughed. The four of em decided to take a breather. Cody and Jade cooled off the horses. While Tyler and Kollin looked over their recorded runs.

"You and Kollin.. huh" said Cody

"Yeah..."

"What bout Casey"

"Not my interest.."

"Ouch! haha.."

"Plus I didnt even give him my real number.. and I doubt he gave me his"

"Hmm.. I didnt think bout that"

"Yeah... just wasnt my type I guess. When Im with Kollin.. its a different story. Words cant explain"

"Thats what you said when you met LJ.. Now look what happened"

"yeah.. but Kollin is different.. All he does is rodeo.. right? well thats what he told me"

"Yeah.. but what if were not all up on the same day.."

"I trust him... I may sound like a obsessed person. But I do trust him Cody"

"Well I got your back Jade"

"Thanks" Jade said

"Hey! You guys done for the day" Tyler shouted

"Yeah... I am" Jade shouted back

Jade walked her horses back to the trailer to unsaddle. While doing so, all she thought about was the conversation her and Cody had. He was right. Jade thought LJ was the one for her. But he broke her heart. Jade was in deep thought when Kollin walked up to her.

"Hey.. you ok?" Kollin asked

"ummm.. yeah.. I was just thinkin"

"Can I ask about what"

"Uh.. mainly bout the rodeo'n part"

"Oh.. I know its gonna be alot on us.. But im willing to try it.. if you are"

"Yeah.. Im willing too.."

"Ok" Kollin said and smiled

Kollin pulled her in for her tight embrace. He kissed her cheek. She let go and looked at him. He leaned in for a peck.

"Dinner tonight?" He asked

"Sure" Jade said

Guess the talk with Cody gave Jade second thoughts. Kollin is willing to give a shot. Thing is, can they handle of not being able to see each other as much like they wish?
