Rope or Ride

Gotta Go, Gotta Go, Gotta Rodeo

Jade was packing up her stuff for the road. She was the only one home, LJ was in Kansas City for the PBR. Cody is gonna meet Jade at her house tomorrow.

Jade has both her rigs packed with all necessary needs. She bought a truck load of hay. A few bags of total equine. She was all set for the road.

Jade decided to bring Stark out of retirement. Jade took him to a few jackpots of the winter break. He still had a lot of heart to him. He still has a lot of run in him and he was more stout than before. Jade is gonna be using Stark as her short barrier horse. Now she has four horses that she'll be using. Stark, Caballo, Viper, and Eagle are the horses she will be using this year.

"Hello"

"Hey babe"

"Hey hun. Hows Kansas"

"Going good. You gonna be watchin tonight"

"Hmmmm? I don't know. Bullriding aint my interest" Jade joked

"Oh you stop it"

"Yes I'll be watching"

"Good. When you headin out"

"Tomorrow. First one is in San Angelo"

"Is Jesse gonna be driving your second rig"

"Yeah, he's flying in tomorrow.  He'll be taking the rig to Denver for the All Star Rodeo"

"Oh.. Cool"

"Yeah. Whats up"

"Nothing just at the room. Gonna head back to the arena in a bit. What bout you"

"Cooking some grub"

"Oooh.. what are you cooking"

"Peanut butter and jelly sandwich"

"Sounds good"

"Sure is. Since I got no one to have din din with"

"Awww.. My poor baby.. I'll be seeing you seen honey."

"I hope so. A day without you is already to long"

"Feelin the same way babe. After San Angelo where ya headin next"

"Ummm.. Let me check............... we have San Angelo this week, Odessa,  then Denver"

"So it'll be a month since I'll see you"

"Actually two months. I just gave you the first three rodeos"

"What?! Two months? Babe I dont think I can hold out that long"

"I know hun. Cody planned it all out"

"He owes me for lettin you go for two months"

"Uh.. excuse you I'm no one's toy"

"Hahaha.. im kiddin babe. Hopefully I get to see you sometimes between the two months"

"Me too love."

"I better get going. Talk to you tonight"

"Yeah. I love you babe. Good luck tonight"

"Love you too honey! Thanks"

"bye"

Jade hung up the phone. She wanted to talk to LJ more but he had to leave. Jade washed her dishes and turned off the lights. She grabbed a light blanket and Looper followed her. Jade sat down and Looper laid next to her. He was her traveling partner. He was a six month year old dapple. He was very protective of Jade.

Jade turned on the TV. Then there was a knock on the door. She quickly made her way to the door.

"Tyler? Hey" Jade said surprisingly

"Jade. Mind if we stay the night"

"We?"

"Myself and Kollin"

"Oh. Yeah. Theres three empty stalls in the barn"

"Ok. Thanks"

Jade smiled and closed the door. 'What the hell is Kollin doing here' Jade thought. Then she glanced down at herself. She was wearing a redsox tank top and basketball shorts. She had her hair tied up in a pony tail. She didnt care, because she wanted to be comfortable when she sees her handsome fiancé ride tonight.  She sat back on the couch and Looper sat next to her. Jade put it on the CBS Sports Network channel. Looper was watchin as well.

"Jade" Tyler shouted

"Living-room" Jade shouted back

Tyler and Kollin walked into the living room. Kollin looked at the tv. At the corner of Jade's eye, Kollin was a bit annoyed. Jade played a smile on her lips. She couldnt help but milk this moment. Jade put her hand on the arm rest, revealin an engagement ring. Kollin kept staring at her ring. Even though they spent a short amount of time in New York,  it still bugged Kollin that Jade was engage. He got up and walked back out. Jade felt a bit of guilt but it was also reminding him that she is happily engage.

Later That Night

LJ was gettin ready to ride. Jade still felt nervous for him. LJ nodded his head and the gate swung open. LJ was sittin good until the bull came up with a big kick. Making LJ flip forward and tangle up his hand in his bullrope. Jade's heart raced but when his hand was still stuck in the rope, her heart skipped a beat. Shorty, Frank and Jesse tried to get LJ off the bull. His hand was tangled and he tried to stay on his feet. The bull stepped on his chaps,  makin him fall to his knees and under the bull. Every now and then the bull would step on his leg. Finally Shorty cut the rope and LJ got away.  When the bull left the arena, LJ bowed against the fence. Jade knew what was hurtin. In the back of her mind, she knew he was gonna be out for awhile. Jade got up and made a quick call.

After a short call, Jade grabbed her get away bag and left. While on her way to the airport, she called Cody.

"Sista"

"Hey. I need to head out to Kansas. You think we swamp with someone"

"Yeah Ill try to find someone"

"Ok. Thanks.. Let me know if you do"

"Yes ma'am. Safe travels and hope LJ is alright"

"Yeah me too"

Jade hung up the phone. She arrived at the airport; parked her truck. Jade quickly grabbed her bag and ran for the entrance.  Jade hopped on their private plan and off she went to Kansas City.

Sorry I havent updated. I've been havin a blast over the summer. Im out in Lovington NM. OMG I was in team roping paradise. I havent seen so many handsome team ropers at big roping. IDK how many of you keep up with the professional rodeo circuit but I became friends with some of em. Im lookin forward to December!
