Chapter ten: First aid romance

The next morning they went for a walk on the beach.

The girls wore bikinis. Brooke and Claire. But Haley is was too shy to wear one. So she wore a swimsuit.
Brooke told her to wear bikini saying she would look hot.
Haley replied, "Probably not this time, thanks".

And the guys just wore some shorts and tanks.

The girls looked smoking hot. The guys were used to seeing Brooke and Claire in bikinis. But when Sam saw Haley in a swimsuit, he was kind of lost.

She looked so different. With her brunette hair open in the air and a blue and white swimsuit on, she couldn't look any better in the beach.

They walked for some time. Then when it got a little crowded in the shore, they went into the water.
Well, everyone else other than Haley.

She didn't know how to swim. There were floating wheels but she was just too scared of drowning.

Brooke: Hales!!!! Come on. Whatcha doing there?
Haley: Yeah, umm coming.

Luke came over and it didn't take him long to get the fact that she didn't know how to swim.

Luke: You can take a swim ring. It's safe.
Haley stood there just staring at the deep ocean.
Haley: Yeah, maybe. I'll see.
Luke : Yo Sam!!
Haley: Luke! WHAT ARE YOU DOING ?!!! Wait, don't tell him anything...

Sam: Yeah, what's up ?
Luke : Stay with Haley, okay ? She is kind scared of the water.

Luke left after saying this. Leaving them alone on the shore.

Sam looked at her and realised she was terrified. Her eyes got bigger every time she looked at the deep water. But she was also eager to enjoy like all the others. She just wanted to jump in the water without drowning.

"Should've taken the stupid swimming lessons in childhood ", Haley blurted

Sam : You won't drown.
Haley : Trust me. I will.
Sam : You won't. I won't let you. Come.

Sam took her by the hand and pulled her into the water.

Haley: SAAAAM... what the hell....NOO!!!
Sam : Chill!!!
Sam put a swim ring around her. And took her in his arms.
Sam: See ? You're not drowning.
Haley: Yeah I'm not.

She seemed surprised.

Sam let her go but still held her hands. He was around Haley so that whenever she would get scared he would just come and grab her. She started playing in the water. Splashing it all around.

Brooke and Nathan were all love birds in the water. Claire and luke were stuck with each other too.

So, Haley started splashing water on sam. He turned around.

Sam: So... Is this what we will be doing ?
He said with his eyebrows lifted. He swam forward to her.
Haley: Sam.. Sam no. I am warning you....

Sam came to her and grabbed her by the wrist. She started kicking the water with her legs. He just wouldn't let go. Then he just pulled her up and put her on his shoulders.

Haley : Ahhaaha. Sam what are you doing?!

Haley started laughing.

Sam : Don't you like what you see ?
Haley : I love what I see.
They both started laughing. Then with her on top, sam started swimming .
Haley: You crazy? You'll drown trying to carry me !!!
Sam: Wait and watch.

He swam for some time. She loved just sitting on his back and playing with his hair in the water. If anyone saw them, they would be sure that they are a couple. Only they wouldn't admit it.

All of them came out of the ocean. Went to the room and changed.

Ordered lunch in the hotel. It was a pretty fancy hotel.

They sat on a table together and waited for the food as the plates and glasses were sitting in front of them,upside down. They were hungry after  swimming for that long.

Brooke : WHERE IS THE FOOD??
Nathan : No idea. Why are they so late ? Wait I'll check.

As Nathan was about to get up the waiter arrived with the food

"Finally", Brooke let out a sigh.

Sam turned his plate up. While the girls were taking their food the boys were talking about other stuff.

Sam was talking and he was just sliding his fingers of his left hand across the edge of the rounded plate. All of a sudden he cut his index finger.

"OOWWH", he screamed out.

Luke : Dude what the fuck happened?
Sam : God! The plate is broken at the edge. Fucking hotel service.
Luke : You kidding me ?

Haley got up from her chair to look at his hands.

"Oh my gosh! Wait a minute. I have a first aid box in my bag. I'll bring it", she said hurriedly.

"Wait, no. Don't bring it here inside all the food. I'll come with you", Sam said.

"Okay", Haley said as she took Sam's right hand.

They went to the second floor using the stairs and unlocked her room. As she went inside,she told sam to sit on the bed. His hand was  all bloody from the cut. He held the finger with his other hand. Haley took out the first aid box and sat next to him.

"Let me see",she said slowly taking his hands.

She took out some cotton and started wiping off the blood.

Haley : What the hell were you thinking ? Do you see how deep the cut is? It won't stop bleeding!
Sam : I didn't notice that the plate was broken.

Haley looked concerned. Sam wasn't much worried about the cut. He was just watching Haley do all the stuff she was doing.

Haley took some antiseptic cream and started to wipe the cut.

"It's gonna sting a little", she said looking up to him.

Sam realised that very well when she put on the cream. "Ouchh. Don't do that. It burns", he yelled.

"It's supposed to. Just hold on for a bit. It's not gonna take long", Haley said in a consoling tone.
She put it on softly so that it would burn less. The she took out some bandage and wrapped it around the finger.

Sam kept starting down at her. She wasn't paying attention to anything other than his cut. Her hair was coming over her eyes all the time. Sam saw this and he said," Wait a second " and removed the hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ears.
"Better", he smiled.

Sam : So, you carry a first aid box wherever you go?
Haley : No, my mom does. I wasn't agreeing to bring it here. She packed it in my luggage forcefully. And now, I can't thank her enough.
Sam : Yeah, I guess neither can I.

He gave her a smirk. She looked up to him. He was smiling after saying those words.

Haley: Okay. All done. Don't take it off before tomorrow.
Sam : Okay.
Haley : Let's go.

As she was walking towards the door Sam suddenly said," Hales!".

As she turned back he pulled her by the hand and put a soft kiss on her cheek and said " Thanks for taking care of it".

Haley jumped a little on the inside.

"Let's go", she said, laughing and holding his hand.

They left the room and came back to have lunch. Everyone was waiting for them.

Brooke : You guys took long.
Sam : Brooke shut up.

Brooke burst out laughing.

Brooke : Did you give her a proper thank you?

Sam : Hmmmm...I guess I did. Right Hales ?

He looked at Haley and she couldn't help but blush.

Then when it was evening they went for a walk.Took some photos outside. Then it was almost sunset. They all saw it together.

It was mesmerising. Nothing like what they see in the city. The waves, birds flying above and the colourful sky. It was a whole other view.
