Chapter twelve: Chasing cars

After that, the night campfire session was over.

It was already 2 at night and they knew they had to get up early in the morning to leave for home.

The girls went to their room and the boys in the other. Every one was pretty sleepy so they went straight to dreamland right after hitting the bed.

Just not Haley. She could not believe what had happened. She couldn't understand how he could know such a detail without ever asking.

And also she was pretty happy about the whole thing. She still had Sam's hoodie on. She went to bed with it. Opened it and held it tight.

She couldn't sleep the whole night thinking about what just happened during the campfire.

Though there was another reason to her not being able to sleep. She was feeling like that time of the month was coming. That weird leg cramp and that pain in the stomach.

And then her doubts were pretty much clear. She got her period.
"Thank goodness the trip is over", she said to herself.
She came back to bed and then fell asleep.

Just an hour later, She woke up to Brooke screaming," Guys!!! Get up! We'll get late. Nathan is knocking on the door".

Haley could barely wake up.

And soon she started feeling the horror of every month. Felt like her stomach was a construction site. She couldn't even move properly.

She somehow put on a top and a jeans. Hair was messed up but brooke helped her to get it in some cute clips.

"You have naturally straight hair. You don't even have to give much effort to it. Why are you still so lazy about it !?!?" Said Brooke.

Haley: If you're done, can we please leave? I can't even sit straight. Fml.
Claire: Yeah, the boys are waiting. Let's go.

As they went downstairs, they saw the guys waiting. Brooke ran to Nathan and gave him a kiss. While Claire slowly approached Luke.

Haley was walking like a tortoise and rolling her suitcase.

Sam went up to her and said,"Hey! Had a good sleep?" Haley was pretty much lost. She didn't know what to answer. She didn't have to,Luckily.

Luke said,"Let's have a quick breakfast and then start, yeah ?"

As they all went to the round table Haley put her head on the table immediately .

Sam said," Looks like you didn't get a good sleep.", Sam said looking at her tired eyes.

"Yeah, not quite", Haley replied.

They all put an order for breakfast but Haley said she wasn't feeling like having breakfast so she just let it be.

Sam instantly said," You can't do a journey on an empty stomach. Have something."

Haley: Sam,leave it na. I don't feel like it.
Sam: You stay put. Waiter, get her a mango juice.

Luke:You should listen to him once in a while,Haley. He does give good advice when it comes to people he cares about.

Luke said that with a smirk on his face.

Everyone was pretty much laughing. Breakfast was over and they went out to their car.

It was the same car they came in. Long car with two long seats and the driver seat and another seat beside that.

"I'll go in the back",said Haley. Well, so did Sam. And  nathan drove with brooke beside him. Claire and luke was in the middle. 

After getting inside, Sam asked Haley,"You okay? You seem kinda sick. Need anything?"
