Genius is intimidating,
and for that it is unforgiving.
The whole world at your feet
and no boxes to squeeze into
and you're still scared.
All that pizzazz
all that glitter and dance
about possibilities and you're still here.
Still just clutching to ideas,
holding on to the curtains of the
stage you can't step on to,
still got cold feet.
Genius is only intimidating once discovered, otherwise you live all your life
believing that what goes on in your head
is what goes on in others
and you are okay with that.
A normal and uncluttered life.
And then people change everything-
open up the possibility that you never thought of- that you do not operate on the same plane.
Meeting people begins to breed fear,
that they will discover this secret you carry,
this reason you act so differently.
That they will either shun you or use you,
there is no in between.
Your blissful ignorance is shattered by the reality that no one will understand you,
and your unknown confidence is shaken
because you fear you will be alone.
This world is not good enough for a genius,
they are not ready for the earthquake
that resides in your mind.
So live your life.
