Love is a learned thing.
And if you are not willing to learn,
then the ocean will swallow you and you will drown. Not in love but in its aftermath,
you will drown in the life love brings.
If you are not willing to learn,
you are not willing to love.
So listen to your mother when she tells you
that her words are for your own good,
listen to your father as he corrects you,
listen to your teachers as they help you,
listen to your counselors as they show you
how to maneuver life,
listen to your friends when they guide you.
Listen to your pastors when they tell you about God.
Cultivate a life full of learning,
and loving won't be so hard.
