Harry's POV
"I'm gonna go reload on some snacks does anyone have any preferences on what I should get?" I hear Mark ask from the other side of the room.
"Oh can you get me some sour cream flavoured crisps? Doesn't matter what brand" I hear Fionn say from his seat on the couch right beside me.
"Alright, anyone else? No, you're all fine placing your bets on my choices? Alright. Hey someone come with me! Harry wanna help and keep me company?" I hear Mark ask as I turn to look up at him.
"Of course!" I say with a smile. I was quite comfortable on the couch and didn't really feel like getting up but I didn't want to be rude. Besides we were watching a Euro Cup game that didn't seem to be too exciting so it's not like I would be missing anything. As I get up I realize how sore my legs really are, not that I'm surprised since the acting in the movie is pretty heavily tied in with swimming and running and other hardcore exercise related activities. I do a quick stretch before walking over to the door behind Mark as we make our way to the local grocery store for a quick late night snack run.
"It's pretty cold out tonight" I hear Mark say as we walk outside the apartment. He's right, while the sky is pitch black and the air is quiet, it is still surprisingly chilly. I wonder if it's been like this all day. I didn't have any scenes to film today so I just stayed and chilled inside the hotel till now.
"Yea, it always catches me off guard in the summer" I reply. Mark and I don't know each other too well since we don't have many scenes together but we still talk whenever we do cross paths. That usually happens when the cast tries to watch stuff together. I like him though, he's much older than I am but he is still pretty cool and very polite, and he seems to like me as well. It feels weird to be filming a movie, especially one like Dunkirk that's so professional and serious, I never thought I'd ever get this kind of opportunity. But I'm having fun. It's weird, I haven't been away from music for this much time in so long but I think it'll be good. This movie is a pretty big distraction from everything, music, news, Ariana. Although I must admit she pops into my mind the most no matter how hard I try I can't stop thinking about her for more than a couple hours or so and it's driving me insane.
"This song is ridiculous" I hear Mark laugh as he turns on the radio in the car. The song sounds familiar, I'm sure I've heard it before, probably on the radio but I don't recognize it.
"What song is this?" I ask him and he turns to show me the over exaggerated look of shock plastered across his face. "Alright calm down, I don't know if you've noticed but I'm involved in a pretty big film project at the moment alright! I don't have time to listen to the song of the summer" I joke.
"I think it's called like Closer or something by The Chainsmokers.. Maybe. Is that a band? I mean listen to these lyrics their ridiculous, what does it even mean!?" He rants as we both laugh and continue to listen to the song and the lyrics that go along with it. It's funny to hear Mark try and figure out the words to the song, I mean he is nearly 60 years old, so I can't tell if the fact that he's even heard the song before or him being surprised by the words should be the funniest part of this exchange. "Alright we're here, thank goodness" he says as we pull into the parking lot of the store.
"That's a shame, I was really enjoying the tunes" I joke as we get out and make our way into the store.
"Alright let's split up to get this job done. I'll grab the drinks, you go and grab the crisps" he says and I nod my head but I also can't help but let out a cheeky little laugh as I watch Mark scurry through the store like a grumpy old man on a mission. I head out to find the junk food aisle and begin scanning it to find some good snacks. I grab a bag of sour cream chips and some Doritos before stopping dead in my tracks when I come across some Hot Cheetos. I'm instantly reminded of Ariana again, they were her favourite type of crisps. I remember the amount of runs I would do to store just to specifically grab them for her. They made her so happy, she was adorable.
