Part 12: Just Be Honest

Harry's POV

"Alright, I love you mom. I just wanna say I'm sorry again for not coming home yesterday, I'll see you soon" I say as I go to say goodbye to my mom on FaceTime. I told her yesterday that I wasn't gonna be able to fly home and Jeff filled her in on Ari, even though I didn't tell him directly about her I assume he could connect the dots based on what happened the night before that. And I'm glad that he did since I know my mom would be worried and concerned but I didn't wanna waste yesterday texting her and anyone else that I know would have questions.

Ari has a lunch date with Judd this afternoon so she said it was fine if I didn't want to come over before then but I really do and I could tell Ari did too from the smile on her face when I said I would come over. I want to spend every moment I can with her but I know she would also want her space at times and I'm fine with giving her whatever she wants.

I quickly grab my wallet and my keys and head straight out the door towards Ari's hotel room. I'm excited to see her again even though I saw her only a couple hours ago. I know that we have some stuff to talk about that we've avoided so far which is fine, I just know that we won't be able to really move forward until we're completely honest with each other so neither of us have to worry about anything. I have a lot of questions for Ari, I mean I want to know about her and Ricky but I've also noticed that she looks much weaker lately, I don't want to say anything but I'm hoping she'll tell me. The last time I saw her look so weak was after her mom passed so I know something's up and I'm worried, all I could do last night was pray that she's okay and that she'll let me help her in whatever way that I can, in any way that I'm suppose to. I decide to stop by McDonald's to grab some breakfast for both of us since I know she doesn't really have much food with her and room service can get kinda boring. As I pull up to the drive thru I'm almost instantly thankful I stopped to grab some food since I notice multiple different photographers who have been following me. If I didn't stop and get the chance to notice them they would've probably followed me to Ari's hotel room and things would just completely blow up which would make everything much worse. I grab my food and make a couple circles around town, they've followed me before and I know exactly where to go to lose them before heading out to Ariana's hotel.

"Good morning Harry!" I hear Ari playfully squeal as she opens the door and just hearing her voice puts an instant smile on my face. "Please tell me some of that McDonald's is for me or I may just shut the door in your face out of anger and starvation" she pouts.

"It's for you too" I admit and I see her eyes light up which makes me laugh, she is such a dork. She steps aside to let me in while also grabbing the McDonald's bag out of my hands in a very spy-like but obvious fashion. "Have you eaten anything yet?" I ask and she shakes her head as we make our way to the hotel rooms kitchen to eat our breakfast.

"Maybe I should just call in sick or something, I don't wanna leave" Ari whines as we talk about how she'll be going out to lunch today.

"What do you mean call in sick? You're hanging out with a friend not ditching school for a day" I joke which makes Ari laugh. "I think you should go, I mean if it weren't for this lunch we may not have even gotten a chance to get back together, you could have flown back to New York yesterday morning and we wouldn't get to sit here eating such incredibly good garbage" I joke.

"Alright fine, I'll do it for you, if that will make you happy" she says sarcastically as if she's going for me and this meeting has nothing to do with her.

"What are you guys even meeting for?" I ask since as far as I know they have no projects together but I mean I haven't heard from Ari in months and don't really know what she's up to. She and Judd have worked together on several occasions and it's nice to see them have such a special bond, Ari cares about him a lot since he not only let her act in a few of his movies but he also produced her first screenplay and has always seen her potential and talent.
