I didn't realize how much time I actually spend with Emily until I was sitting on the couch alone and bored out of my mind. Luckily when my phone buzzed next to me, my spirits were lifted as I saw it was Emily. I smiled and answered the phone.

"Miss me?" I asked teasingly. But of course, who answered was definitely not Emily.

"This is Emily's friend Lucas?" A woman's voice asked through the phone almost panicked.

"Yeah, who is this?" My voice became shaky. Something was wrong in National City and it involved Emily.

"Supergirl." My heart skipped a beat. I was talking to Supergirl?! I stopped freaking out as soon as I remembered the real situation. "We don't have any experienced doctors to help and we need someone fast. Emily said your mother is medically trained. We need you two fast."

"We'll be over on the next plane out." I stood up from the couch and ran upstairs to get a shirt and my mom.

"Actually we have a much faster way. Just please don't freak out." I didn't understand what there was to freak out about so I kept running. Then there was a flash of blue behind me. Stopping in my tracks I spun around. A man with futuristic goggles stood by the front door.

"Oh, so that's what I'm not supposed to freak out about." I hung up the phone and stared down at the guy. He took off his goggles and moved a piece of shoulder length hair behind his ear. He looked around in awe.

"This house is nice. Oh right, I'm Cisco. I'm here to take you through an interdimensional portal to save your girlfriend." I groaned as he said girlfriend.

"We're just friends." I sighed as he nodded.

"Friend zoned, that sucks. You know, my friend Barry has- wait, we gotta go. Go get your mom and get dressed." He yelled as I ran upstairs to my mom's room. She was putting laundry away.

"Mom! Emily's in trouble in National City. There's a guy downstairs taking us in an..." What did he say? "Interdimensional portal. I think." She quickly walked out her room and down the stairs as I ran to my room to get dressed. I put on a shirt and put on some jeans, now that my old clothes didn't fit me, I had to wear my dad's.

Downstairs, Cisco made a blue swirling portal and motioned for my mom to step through it. Then me. My heart raced as I stepped through. Instantly I was in a lab with a man who held Emily in his arms. Her suit was bloody. I ran over to them. Her eyes blinked open a little and she tried a smile when she must've saw me. The man laid her down on the hospital bed. I raced over to her.

She was more awake and aware so my mom started talking to her. "Sweetie, I need you to take off your top." She slowly peeled down the top half of the suit. She was wearing a lacy grey bra, I would've blushed if I wasn't so scared. On her chest and stomach were slits where something hit her.

"What happened?"

"Telekinetic knives hurt just as bad as normal knives, maybe worse." I wasn't sure how she could smile at a time like this but she did.

"I'm going to have to do some stitches. It's going to hurt, but any pain killers I give you won't kick in until you've lost too much blood." My Mom rubbed alcohol onto the wounds. I grabbed Emily's hand.
