Barry's POV
I forget about Kara's behavior and decide to ask Iris out.
"Hey Iris," I say.
"Yeah Barry?" She asks, turning around.
"Would you maybe wanna go out?" I ask, rubbing the back of my neck.
"What about Kara?" She asks, clearly confused.
"Oh we agreed to stop because we were both miserable," I answer.
"Then no." She says firmly, spinning in her heel and walking away.
I stand there, dumbfounded. Why did she say no? Why did she ask about Kara?
These questions nag me for the rest of the day.
I ask Joe, "Is it just me or is Iris acting weird?"
"Why?"
"She said no when I asked her out. And she asked about Kara."
"She probably didn't want to hurt Kara more than you have already," he says, poking my chest.
"Oh?" I ask before walking away.
