I go back to my Earth after talking to Kara with a certain bounce in my stride and lightness in my heart. I first go out to seek Iris. I have to tell her what happened.
I'm so happy for Kara! I'm glad that we were both able to move on. We would both be miserable had we not.
"Iris!" I shout as I see her.
"Hi Barry!" She shouts back, waving me over.
"I talked to Kara and she said that she was over me. She likes someone else now!" I say enthusiastically.
"Really?" She asks.
"Yes. Iris, would you go on a date with me now?" I ask.
"Are you sure that she's over you?"
"Yes, I'm certain!"
"Then yes!" She says, leaping in my arms.
I smile widely at her consent. The smile can't be wiped off my face for the rest of the day. Maybe I'm not with Kara, but I'm definitely with a woman she would approve of.
