I ran back home, to see what the commotion was all about. My mother was calling me to show me something I have received. She led me to my bedroom, which had a beautiful gown laying on it.

"Y/N, here you are

"Y/N, here you are. Tis a gift from your grandmother. You shall treat it with care." My mother said.

"Oh, why thank you. I- I have no words to describe it's beauty. But mother when will I wear it?"

"Whenever I take you to another ball." She nodded.

"Mother..." I began. "There will be a grand ball in two days from now, and I would like to attend... perhaps alone."

"And who's ball this might be?"

"The king of England's mother..." I trailed off.

"My bloody word Y/N, haven't I told you to stay away from such. You shan't be going. I do not trust the king or his son." Mother exclaimed.

"But mother, please let me exp--"

"No buts. That is it young lady, respect your mother's wishes. I say this for a final time." She said, as I looked away and nodded reluctantly...

That occured two days ago, and tonight is the night of the king's ball. My mother believes that I am sound asleep this night, but really I'm planning.

I paced in my room, as I thought to myself. Ok, how will I get out of the house? Certainly, my mother will not let me out, and obviously I would get caught if I just walked out. I need a better plan because one way or another, I will attend.

I looked around, and thought of more to do. My gown hung upon the closet door. I sighed, and put it on, along with the heels. My make up was already done, now all that was left was to escape, and I came up a wonderful plan.

I walked over to my bed, and ripped the bedsheets off. I tied all the bedsheets together into on big line. I made sure my door was closed so no one can walk in on me escaping.

I opened my large window, and tied the bedsheets to the large piece of metal that hung over the window. I threw the bedsheets out the window, as it hung down the side of the house.

I stuck one leg out the window, then grabbed the bedsheets, as I stuck the other leg out the window. I began to climb down, being careful of ripping my gown. As I lowered myself, my feet touched the soft grass, and I smiled to myself.

"I did it..." I whispered, as I kept smiling. I looked up, and stuck my tongue out to no one. "Bye." I giggled.

I ran over to the horse stalls close to the house, and led a horse out. I hopped on, and began to ride away to the king's palace.

Time skip...

I dismounted the horse when I realized I was in front of the large palace. I tied the horse's reins to the pole so he wouldn't leave. I gave him a pat on the head, and began to walk in the entrance.

As I walked in, there were royalty conversing, guests laughing as they sipped on fine wine, and a philharmonic playing to my left.

I looked around for Robert but I couldn't find him. I made my way through the crowd, as I continued to search.

I saw two royal chairs that was on a pedestal. The man was sitting on the left, and the woman was sitting on the right. The king and queen I figured.

They overlooked everyone in the ballroom, as they occasionally leaned over and exchanged words.

I felt a hand on my waist, as I looked to my right.

"My dear, you made it." It was Robert. He kissed me on the cheek. "You look rather stunning as always my darling."

"Thank you, as for yourself." I smiled. I looked back over to the king and queen, as they looked me over.

"Those are my parents my dear. Don't worry, they'll love you." He assured me. Robert grabbed my hand, and led me to the floor. "Come on, let's dance."

The orchestra began to play Waltz No.2 by Shostakovich. The music filled the ballroom, as we danced. I noticed that his parents kept looking at me, and it was making me nervous.

The dance came to an end, and Robert decided that now would be a swell time to finally meet his parents. He held me close, as we walked closer to his parents. We walked up the stairs, as Robert held the end of my gown so I wouldn't fall.

The king stood up, as I grabbed the side of my dress, and bent my knees before him politely, like a lady should.

"King Downey of England, my pleasure. The name is Y/N." I said, as I looked at him.

"The pleasure is mine young lady. I see you have caught the attention of my son." He said.

"That is true my king." I said, as I gave a smile to Robert.

"Splendid, then one day I hope to see you as a official princess of this family." He took a sip of his wine.

"Indeed, she shall. She looks the part." Robert's mother said, smiling.

"Oh, why thank you." I smiled back.

"My son, show the young lady around. Run along, familiarize yourself Y/N." He waved his hand, as Robert smiled.

"Yes father." Robert responded, bowing as he did. He grabbed my hand, and led me to the other side of the palace.

Everything was wonderful. He showed me the dining room, living rooms, and such. Mostly the essentials. The rooms were splendid, you could tell that this was nothing but royal living. Too bad I didn't have this back home.

"--and this right here my dear is the balcony." Robert said, leading me out onto the balcony. We looked out, and I saw a large pond, beautiful flower beds, and acres of fresh low cut green grass. It was breathtaking.

"Wow, this is a amazing view. I could look out to this all day." I smiled.

"The view is much better at night under the stars, and ten times better with a good cup of tea." He looked up at the sky, as I chuckled.

"Everything is better when tea is involved." We both laughed.

"That is quite true." He smiled, as he looked into my eyes. There was silence between us. His eyes looked down at my lips, and back up. He pulled me closer to him, and kissed me passionately. The kiss began to turn into something more.

He ended the kiss slowly, and placed his forehead on my own.

"I'm sorry I ended the kiss, but my darling there is one more room I need to show you." He said, as his breath tickled my face.

"And what room is that?" I asked.

"Follow me." He gently grabbed my hand, and led me down the hallway. We stopped at a large wood carved door. Robert opened the door for me, and we walked in.

The room was a nice shade of red, and a large bed was in the middle. Wood carved dressers were on the other side, and there was a nice walk in closet.

"This is my bedroom." He said. "Care to have a closer look?..." He asked, as he rose his eyebrow. I blushed, as I nodded.
