I was back at the headquarters now, and I just got through telling my director that Robert was 'eliminated'.

The lie was the only thing that could protect him.

I headed down the hall to my office, and closed the door. I grabbed my phone, and quickly called Robert.

He picked up on the third ring.

"Robert." I said, a little quiet.

"Y/n?"

"I told them you've been killed. You don't have to worry about this end of it anymore."

"Why would--"

"It's the only way I could protect you from my agency." I said. "All you have now is Taren. Telling them the lie was all I could do."

I paused.

"Soon it'll be all over... and I'll see if you'll stick to your word." I continued.

"I always do, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to do this." He said.

"What do you mean?"

"My partner ratted me out, and I found out he was working undercover for Taren. I'm basically the target now."

"How can I help?" I asked.

"I don't know if you could."

"But I'll try."

There was a little silence.

"Square Leibniz. That's where everything will happen."

Robert hung up on me. I put away my phone and quickly came out my office. I jogged down the hall and headed for the elevator.

I took the elevator down, and headed out the headquarters.

Time skip...

I drove up a couple of streets, and parked on the side. There were large buildings on each side of me, giving shade.

I got out my car, and looked around for Robert or anything suspicious. I saw nothing that caught my eye, so I decided to go inside the building.

I took off my sunglasses, and snuck my way towards the back stairway. I went to the second floor, and tried to find Robert.

I walked down the hall, and occasionally looked behind me. I stopped when I heard something behind me.

I quickly turned around, but there was no one there. It wasn't until I felt hands go down my waist, I knew I wasn't alone.

"You came." I heard Robert's voice say from behind me. He kept his hands on me, and placed his chin on my shoulder.

"I had to." I turned to face him.

"Come on." Robert said, grabbing my hand and taking me to a suite. He closed the door behind us, and pinned me against the wall.

Robert gave me a kiss, as my hands ran through his hair.

"I came to help you, not for this." I managed to say between kisses.

"You're still kissing me though." Robert said, smirking.

I stopped, and looked him in the eyes.

"Where's Taren?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"The other building across the street." Robert said, moving away and heading towards the balcony doors.

He took off his black suit jacket, and threw it on the sofa; exposing his red dress shirt.

"I set up my position here." He said pointing towards the sniper rifle he set up on the balcony. "With my scope I can see clearly into the meeting Taren is having with the director of Agency 8. I just have to wait for the right time." He explained.
