Y/N's POV

"Tony Stark?!" My best friend, Carly, said, with eyes wide open.

We sat in her apartment, just finishing up a box Chinese. I had my comfort clothes on now, and absolutely happy to take those killer heels off.

I nodded, placing some chicken in my mouth.

"Like the Tony Stark. Stark Industries, billionaire--"

"Playboy, blah blah blah..." I cut her off. "Yeah, that's him." I put some rice in my mouth.

"And you just walked away from him? Left him in the middle of the dance floor all, you know...!"

"Horny? Yeah, I did." I said nonchalantly.

"You had to be drunk or something." Carly said, still not believing what I told her about what happened tonight.

"No, I'm just not going to give in like every other girl does. That's what he wanted, and I didn't give it to him."

"Yeah, if it was any other guy I would agree but hello, it's Iron Man for crying out loud!" Carly responded.

"I don't give a crap if it was Jesus. I'm just not that type of woman... and I told that to his face too." I said.

"Well, ok. I'll let it go, but I have one question... If Tony decided to actually take time with you, and really want to start a relationship would you be up for it?" She asked.

"I don't know... from what I heard, he's an asshole." I sighed.

"Did he act like a asshole when you met him?"

I took some time to think, and from what happened he didn't really seem like one. I stared at Carly, and she knew that I was going to say no.

"Food for thought y/n..." Carly said, taking the Chinese boxes and heading to the kitchen. "Food for thought!" She said again.

I was left on her sofa, with my legs criss cross. I leaned back on the sofa, and let out a sigh as I closed my eyes.

Tony's POV

"Clubbing!?" Pepper said, wide eyed. "Tony you know you have a meeting in the morning."

Pepper followed me downstairs to my shop. I had my t shirt and sweatpants on.

"Pep, calm down. I barely clubbed and I only had like one drink." I turned to face her as we stopped in front of my security door.

"Still." He crossed her arms.

"Oh god..." I said, and put in the password for the door. I walked in the shop and she was still behind me.

"You know I'm only doing this for your own good. I want to see you and this company flourish."

"And it is Pepper. Missing one meeting isn't that bad." I looked at her, picking up my screw driver.

"Actually sir, you've missed a total of 32 meetings, which isn't so good on your end." Jarvis interjected.

"Jarvis what the hell!" I said, looking up to the ceiling.

"Wow Tony." Pepper shook her head. "Thank you Jarvis."

"You're welcome Ms. Potts, and sorry sir for exposing you." Jarvis responded.

"Oh whatever." I rolled my eyes, and sat down at my desk.

"So based on what Jarvis just said, it's been definitely confirmed you need to go to the meeting tomorrow." Pepper said.

"You know what, ok." I said, facing her. "Fine, I'll go but only on one condition."

"What?"

"If you help me out with something."

"I mean, well yeah. What do you need?"

I stopped for a second and thought of what happened tonight.

"I, uh, met this girl, and... she is very beautiful, and just all around amazing. But she's one big challenge..." I began.

"Is she only a challenge because she didn't give it up when you tried to sweet talk her?"

I stayed silent.

"You know all girls aren't so easy, right?"

"Well shit, obviously Pepper." I ran a hand through my hair. "Yeah, I pushed up on her just a little bit, but I feel something with this girl. She just seem worth it... like she's the type who's in it for the long run."

"Are you even ready for something like that. Tony you and me both know that you change women like you change your clothes."

"I don't know..." I sighed. "I just, want to give it a chance. Again, I'm telling you Pepper she seems worth it."

"Alright Tony."

"So, can you like help me with this?"

"The great Tony Stark is asking me for help with women." She chuckled. "Just talk to her, go slow. Don't mention anything like sex, or relationships. Just ask her about her day, or her favorite things, you know a proper conversation. Come on Tony you got this."

I looked down at my screwdriver.

"Alright, thanks pep." I looked back at her and gave her a light smile.

"You're welcome." She smiled back. "Now don't stay up too long, the meeting's at 9." She turned to leave.

"Ok, I'll be up soon." I promised, and began to fix my suit's leg armor.

Ok guys, Pepper is actually just friends with Tony in this, she won't grow feelings, and I know Friday replaced Jarvis, but I decided to keep Jarvis because this is before Ultron.
